Why do people think that the current meta is the be all, end all? I got verbally abused in champ select because I picked Pantheon and said I didn't want to jungle, to which one replied "You will have to support then". I said "I don't "HAVE" to pick anything, the current meta isn't the be all, end all". I was then called "a fag" and "a piece of shit" by this pair, one of which changed their champion to a support. I was going to go as Pantheon bottom but was left with top to which I proceeded to get first blood and finish up on 4/0/3 when they surrendered, yet they still felt the need to complain and that "my lane was easy" and reported me after the game for being "uncooperative" apparently. It is infuriating, why can't people just play the game and leave people be. If they aren't feeding then what is the problem that they are playing Pantheon over Soraka?

The issue is when it gets to late game, having a true support that helps gain kills but doesn't grab attacking items verses two members will likely be down in cs because it had to be split between the two, will be better off because of their items and overall possibilities. A support doesn't need as much gold to consider themselves very useful in the current meta. Honestly, if I were you and knew I didn't want to jungle I would have went someone like Leona, Naut, Blitz, or Nunu over a Panth bot. The first 2 are very good supporting units who can completely change the tide of a game quicker than an AD pantheon can imo. Give Naut a chance to throw a grab, throw his ult into the furthest back person, hit the next person behind the grabbed person with your w, and slow the whole team in under 6 seconds, you'll have done more work for your team than a single stun and cone attack. And you're ult is not something I would consider a viable option because you can botch it easily.

Btw, I don't like Raka either. Just I have a lot of heroes that I can play support and still be just as viable.

And tbh, you could have easily jungled as a pantheon. His jungle is actually very viable (though hard), Your stun and overall damage output can really break the flow of a top or bot lane. Plus a 6 ult on a slow mid because they haven't backed yet, instant kill. Also, a team may lose just for the sole fact that the other team has a better comp than your team does. In which case, panth support bot is supposed to be a very early game chance 20 min surrender.
