THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!!! |
|
Challenges like this are around and tend to give us, the users the very best out of the Football Manager series. The Unemployment Challenge and the BSN/BSS to European Champions were probably the 2 best challenges around last year and both have been carried on this year. But I want to go 1 better...
Pretty much every FM player has a local side and many would like to lead them to enternal glory and show up the big boys. So here's the deal... You must take on a team in Tier 8 or below to the very top. To complete the challenge you must take your team to the treble. This is the Champions League, English Premiership and the FA Cup. There is no time span so it could take 10-50 years, it doesn't matter as long as the challenge is eventually complete. The use of the FM Genie Scout and teh FMRTE are prohibited from the challenge naturally, so it is equally fair. The Tiers 8-10 download will be needed and as I said, it could be from Tier 8 to Tier 10. Your reputation must be set to Sunday League, so there are no advantages for anyone. You may use this thread for anything that fits in with the challenge. So you may use it to discuss players, teams, tactics, etc. I will not tolerate any abuse or anything that doesn't go along with the challenge, so let's all get along nicely shall we All that's left to say now is... let the game begin! EDIT: This should've been here from the beginning, my apologies. For anyone who wants to start the challenge yet doesn't know where to download from, it can be downloaded from here. Make sure you have a SEGA Pass account though, otherwise it can't be done (I don't think) This message was edited by seanb2k6 on Nov 11 2009. ------------------- Currently Playing Football Manager 2010- Managing Hartlepool 2012-13 St. Helens Town 2009-10

Personally I would have left out tier 8 simply because FC United seems like a really easy game to do this with. Its your challenge though.
I'm looking for my club right now, I tend to take a little longer than everyone else on these things but I will still give it a go. ------------------- ![]()

4. league 2 5. BSP 6. BSN/S 7. Ryman/ Northern/ Southern I will be starting an AFC Liverpool game after I get bored with my Unemployment one. Started one with St. Helens but would rather start from the very bottom. I can never keep the lower leagues straight.
I just started with Enfield 1893...chose them because they're an older club with a 5000 seater. ------------------- ![]()

In my complete overhaul of Enfield I found a few interestingly useful free players.
Peter Crookes - the former Liverpool trainee is terribly useful and balanced keeper Darren Barnard - the longtime LLM legend still has it Jamie Barrett - a former Wednesday trainee, Barrett is surprisingly useful as a terrier in the midfield Mark Peters - the former Southampton trainee isn't anything special but he's working well as my set up man Albano Correia - the unquestioned star of my team, he's an absolute must sign IMO Thus far I have managed a 0-0 draw with Brentwood, a 4-0 win against Malden, and a 3-1 away against Bedfont Green...pretty chuffed with the results. Oh, and if you're stuck on a good Ass Man, Huw Lloyd has been very solid for me so far. ------------------- ![]()

Some very good signings their CP
I just started as Lydney Town (My Local Side) who are currently in the Hellenic League Division One West which is in the tenth tier. They have a 1000 capacity stadium which isn't exactly true in real life and are predicted to come 5th in the league. -------------------

Cheers, Andy, I'm really having a lot of fun with this game right now. The tenth tier seemed a little daunting for me so I played it safe and started in the 9th so I'll be curious to see how you are getting on.
Of course it helps my enjoyment when I am doing this... ------------------- ![]()
