I don't get how that's supposed to add weight.

My knee is getting much better, now. I think I can start back on running and making jump shots next week.

Focused mainly on my chest and shoulders.

Vertical Chest Press 2/10 (8 kg)
Right Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (6 kg)
Left Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (6 kg)
Some chest and shoulder exercise 2/10 (7 kg)
x25 Crunches

This was a slight workout to get my muscles in tune for the day. I did it before breakfast and school.

Lat Pulldown 2/10 (9 kg)
Triceps Pushdown 2/10 (8 kg)
Standing Arm Curl 2/10 (8 kg)
Right Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (6 kg)
Left Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (6 kg)

Help pray that my knee gets better.

Common sense.

First of all, the rectus abdominis is a postural muscle, and not a muscle with any point in trying to make huge through adding weight. If you want a strong core, then there's a lot more to having that than having over-developed abs, so there's no point there. Then, if you want great abs, that's about having low body fat percentage, not lifting heavy with your abs, so once again, there's no point in doing it for any possible reason.

Back to the injury side of things, over-developed abs cause back problems because 90% of people don't train their back muscles at all, 5% train them incorrectly and maybe 5% if you're lucky have a clue what they're doing when it comes to their back, and train their back with the right technique and the right frequency. So, an overdeveloped front, and an under-developed back will lead to your back being a weak point, and under stress, it's always the weakest part that gives way first.

I don't think Rondo will have the capabilities to keep good form on crunches with weight. Just a hunch

Yea it's such a difficult exercise. Pretty much every other exercise he is doing with weights is harder.


People shouldn't squat either because they probably can't do it right. Oh and benching is a bad idea too because if you don't train your back you'll get injured from muscle imbalances.


Do you see what I'm getting at here?

Just got back from working out. I had a lack of sleep the day before and I reduced my workout so I would have some energy to play basketball.

Focused mainly on my chest, shoulders, and biceps (unintentionally).

Right Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (9 kg)
Left Pectoral Crossover 2/10 (9 kg)
Some chest and shoulder (and I just found out a biceps) exercise 2/10 (7 kg)
Crunches till I felt my stomach was about to burst

You hit the nail on the head. The main reason I lost my abs was that I didn't intensify my workouts. I should have added weight routines to it, but oh well. Now I know my mistake and can work on it.
