Basically, im aston Villa starting a new game. Im stuck on what kind of striker to buy to partner John Carew up front, probably should be quick and have good finishing. Will have around 18 mil to spend after sales of Heskey (5m), Cuellar (6m) and agbonlahor (13m)

Alberto Paloschi is a quick, poacher type of striker that you need to play off Carew. Should be able to buy him for under 18 million.

Selling Agbonlahor was a mistake in my opinion, his pace gets him the goals, not his finishing.
However, I don't disagree with Walnuts in that Paloschi is your man. It will be hard to pry him off Parma, though AC Milan usually give out sooner. The second challenge will be getting him to come to England. If you can't get Paloschi, I would sign Smolarek as a backup on free transfer, and go looking at Marquinhos from Internacional. -------------------  | |

i know agbonlahor is good, but tbh im not a big fan of him and i wanted someone different.
Il try and get paloschi, it is hard to sign him already had a bid of 4m rejected by parma for the half  any other suggestions in case that fails? | |

Restart the game !!! Big Mistake to sell Agbonlahor!
He is the beast in FM10! He can score by average a goal in one game as sub or starting line up. First 6 months 16 goals in 15 games, finish the first season with 35 goals in 33 games! It just like Liverpool sold Torres! He is my favourite player in FM10, I am depressed to hear the news  For free, you can sign Viduka as back up to replace Heskey. He still got the touch and an all rounded striker. He scores 8 goals for me in 18 or 20 games, most of them as sub. Also, if you have a large wage budget, see if you can lure Van Nistelroy. He may buy you an extra year or two for the young strikers to mature. Ruud value will drop to 1.1 m by the end of the first transfer window. Vela and Balotelli are also my favorite strikers. But i am not so sure how much they will cost! Oh Well done in selling Heskey! he is completely useless in FM10! | |
