As Sunderland my team is doing great but I'm now 14 games into the season and have yet to score (or even come close!) to a headed goal from a corner. It's not a lack of quality, Gourcuff is taking them with Michael Turner, Ryan Shawcross and others in the box. We all know on FM09/08 we could get a lot of goals from corners using specific instructions. Whilst these instructions do not seem to have the same effect as they did on previous editions, there must be some instructions that will provide goals.

Don't get me wrong, on FM08 the 'corner tactic' was practically an exploit, I had Vidic get 21 goals in one season. I'm not looking for that again (as I don't think it exists) but surely we can find a combination to provide more goals.

The default ones FM sets up suck. Right now I'm trying this approach:

And will let you know how it goes. If others could try different combinations, then eventually we will find the holy grail of FM10 corners

I've found that having your best centre back with the best heading to challenge the keeper. Have your other centre back standing on the far post, then you striker with the best heading ratings doing the near post flick on.

Then have your other striker attack ball from deep, and have your best midfielder with best long range shots standing outside the box. I've scored about 10 goals it works but you just don't score as many as the previous games

honestly, i scored a stupid amount with scholsey when i was Man United. I have struggled to really find anything else though, attack ball from deep with about 3 players doing this has scored a few though :/

Aim the corner in the 6 yard box. Two CBs challenge the keeper. Someone with good heading attack the near post and likewise for the far post. I score a shit ton and my centre backs are Carragher and Agger...Neither of which are very good in the air.

I don't score that many from corners, i seem to have more luck from crosses although Franck Moussa scored a beaut the other day for me. I tend to place someone outside the box so that i can at least get a long shot on target and possibly score.

I'm using the 09 one, works fine with Carra.
