do set pieces go in to often and do players miss on purpose? |
|
to be fair, i have kept one clean sheet all season from conceding 14 goals, my defence isn't to deep, not to high so i don't concede many from open play, anyways adam drury, 40 yard free kick goes in 1-0 norwich, then i make it 1-1 then it they get 35 yard free kick that hits of post and bounces straight to their player and in previous matches i have only noticed 1 out of bout 8 free kicks not go in out of 6 games this season
also my other point, deeney and byfield get lots of 1 on 1s with keeper, they for some unknown reason shoot out the box in the middle of the goal constantly as if they pass it to the keeper, i just had gary doherty marking byfield and obviously my byfield constantly got past him due to their pace, i lost 4-1 in the end, 2 corners and free kicks, what really got me was how often byfield with an average rating of 7.16 6 goals in 7 games and getting praise from other managers and walsall old boy jummy walker yet he missed all those one v ones he just had for me, he has good morale so no excuse, their keeper got 7.7 in the end but not even buffon would be good enough to save constant 1 v 1 situations.

Calm down people.
I don't think it's on purpose. I have been playing an AC Milan game where you start off with some of the best set-piece takers in the game (Pirlo, Ronaldinho) and you can see the effect they have. I certainly got a lot more goals from them than other games where I haven't had as talented players. Same with 1 on 1 situations. Pato similarly can pass through defenders with his pace, but 4 times out of 5 he can beat the keeper. Your players just aren't as technically capable. ------------------- ![]()
