AC Milan Team Discussion |
|
Associazione Calcio Milan ![]() ![]() Associazione Calcio Milan, commonly referred to as A.C. Milan and as just Milan in Italy, is an Italian professional football club based in Milan, Lombardy. The club was founded in 1899 by English lace-maker Herbert Kilpin, Alfred Edwards, and four other Englishmen and has since spent most of its history in the top flight of Italian football (only two years in Serie B in the eighties). The club have won 18 officially recognized international titles, tied with Boca Juniors as having the most in the world. Milan have won four world titles, more than any other club in the world; they have won the Intercontinental Cup 3 times and the FIFA Club World Cup once. AC Milan have also won the European Cup on seven occasions; only nine-times champions Real Madrid have exceeded this total. As for Italian Serie A titles, Milan are tied with Internazionale for being the second most successful club with 17 league titles; only Juventus have won more (27). The above is courtesy of Wikipedia.org So, AC Milan eh? Almost an official "Dad's Army" with the average age of the squad you have to work with when you first start the game. To kick off the discssions, I will post a succession of screen shots that some of you may have seen in the informal AC Milan discussion going on over in the Players Forum. So now, tell me what you guys think! I will also be happy to post any and all screenshots you guys request, and I certainly recommend starting up a game as The Rossoneri! ------------------- ![]()

Mate, looks like you had really good season. How did you fare in the cups this season? You've actually inspired me to start as Milan, I'll just start loading up the game now. What positions would you recommend I look to address first?

re: AC Milan Team Discussion |
quote pommyadamThings were a bit shakey at the start of the season. The team was trying to gel and there were injuries to some key players. Made it tough. My team really came through in the back half of the season though and I was lucky against Real as they had a sending off early and that allowed me to shift to a more attacking role and Huntelaar came back to haunt them. I did over pay for Rodwell though. He has performed up to the pricetag though. A pass completion rate of 86% for the season was exceptional for someone so young. He will be further blooded this season as a replacement for Gattuso/Ambrosini. ------------------- ![]()

Would you recommend the RB that you signed Phelix? That appears to be the weakest part of the team at a glance.

re: AC Milan Team Discussion |
quote Rfc_FdWhich right back? I signed Diego Renan, who is primarily a left back, and he has been fantastic. He has even been called up to the Brazil squad and earned his first cap. In the January window of the first season I also signed Cicinho from Roma because he was transfer listed and other than Zambrotta I didn't have much at right back. Going into season 2 however, I signed Bacary Sagna (In my honest opinion one of the best right backs in the game) from Arsenal for £30million and he has been fantastic. ------------------- ![]()

Sorry I meant to say Left Back. That was my fault. Yeah I was talking about Renean, ATM it looks like it's between him, Vargas and Taiwo although Vargas is really a LM. I'm not sure who'll play in the AMC role, Ronaldinho or Seedorf, who would you recommend playing there?

quote Rfc_FdRenan is a fantastic left back. Equally good going forward or back and much better than Taiwo. In regards to AMC, play Ronaldinho there in the Trequarista role. He will be fantastic. Don't be afraid to play Seedorf there either because he is still quality also. ------------------- ![]()

AC Milan's a good game to play because you dominate from set-pieces and long goals. If you can get Pato to break through the defence, he'll score more often than not. It's quite fun dominating continuously after a while.

quote AmeerSeason 1 seems quite tricky to get in any real talent, & i can't get rid of anyone. so far, sold Flamini to chelsea, for £15m, he seemed a good player tbh, just not gonna get pirlos place.
