Have you moved teams around or created leagues and cups? If so, try loading the database in the editor and click 'Test nation rules'. It could be there is a problem there.

i will try that, another thing that is funny to me is that when i save my changes in the database it saves pretty quickly, basicly immediatly. in fm 07 it use to take at least a few seconds to save the changes. so i dont know if this may be part of the problem and that it doesnt save the database properely and so the game doesnt pick it up,what do u think, does the save go that quickly??

re: DATABASE SELECTION |

That's normal. This year the database is different. When you save changes, it doesn't save it over the entire database. The changes are saved in a separate, smaller file that is attached to the main database, meaning shorter saved times.
Another thing is, the 'load database' in the game is different now. Instead of a drop down menu choosing which database to open, go to new game and tick the tick box next to editor data files. This will take you to a menu showing which files you want to load. Just make sure your edited file is ticked and when you start a new game the changes will be there. ------------------- *Insert Sig Here*

Its supposed to save that quickly...don't worry though, I happen to have the answer.
The problem is your config.xml file, try this. thread ------------------- ![]() | |

ok so i should just delete the config file and load the game up again and it should create a new config file and then i can edit away right??

Aye, just delete the old one, start a new game, then exit the new game. That will make a new config file and you should be good to go.
