Sorry if I come off strong, but if you don't provide code to go along with a question where code is needed, they its going to be realllyyyy hard to get some help. Show us your code, and help will come swifter.

I think you have the wrong idea with smarty. Smarty is supposed to separate your PHP and HTML. Meaning, if you have any html code in your .php page, something is wrong. If you are relying on the {php} tag in your smarty page, something is wrong. If you are using smarty, you shouldn't ever have to echo anything.

If you echo text, and then output your template the echo'd text will always appear at the top. If you output your template, then echo text, that text will always appear under your template. But as said earlier, don't echo if you're using a template! You should be assigning that echo'd text to some variable in the template.

DreamCrafter you really need to be specific, I'm not sure what you are referring to.
