Thanks for staying on top of it Gotenks. I wonder why this game is drawing so many of these posts in.

I wanted to say I like this forum I think it looks very nice mr. moderator.

Gaara King Of Sand, maybe one day there will be a Moderator, but its up to the Supermods. And if you want to be a Moderator read this:

Well, I remember you used to be able to ask a Super Moderator to become a Moderator but I don't think your aloud any more... but I may be wrong.

Gefloung use to be a moderator. He's somebody with more experience than you think. Plus he's a well respected member in the Zelda forums. He knows what he's talking about.

This forum does not need a moderator at the current time because there is barely any activity. Any issues that happen in this forum can be dealt by me until there is actual activity here.

Asking to be a Moderator only lowers your chances of becoming one. If you want to be a Moderator, you should read what Cloud Me posted in their spoiler and as well read this thread.

And don't call someone a noob when they're trying to help you get a better understanding at something. That's not a good attitude if you want to become a Moderator.

How about I just put this real quick and easy.

When, and only when the supermods feel there is a need for a moderator, then they will decide who it is. They also decide when a forum needs a moderator, but the general requirements are either the forum is really popular/busy, or there is a serious need for one. Since this forum lacks activity, chances are we won't get a moderator until the forum picks up. And yes, I do understand that this forum does tend to get a couple "problematic" people, but this forum is watched by the section moderator Gotenks, the category moderator Sonic Flash, and a super moderator Chad, so chances are a mod won't be chosen until the forum picks up.

As for the actually selection, members no longer ask to become mods. That method was changed about two years ago. As I've already mentioned, moderators are now chosen by the super moderators among those who post in the forum, and who they feel will do not only the fairest and best job moderating, but also a good job promoting the forum and trying to keep discussion going and so on. Basically, they chose your average, "good" member.

As mentioned by Gefloung, asking to be moderator and/or badgering the supers about it will actually only decrease your chances. The only way to really increase your chances of receiving the position are posting in the forum, not spamming, flamming, or breaking rules, try to generate discussion, and so on.

If you want to ask questions to "more capable people," check out this thread, it is the Q/A thread for moderator selection.

If you want to read the guidelines for the new process, this thread is where you should look. It should also answer most of your general questions about moderator selection. I believe you should start at the fourth, full paragraph, which is the second paragraph after the three bullets.

How long ago was this? I've been well aware of this but 16 posts still does not mean there is an automatic need for a Moderator. I look at the current activity for the week and what do I see? 42 posts by you. I look at the first page of this forum....all posts by you. It's nice to see you want activity in this forum but flooding the forum is not necessary and does not help your chances at all for becoming Moderator. I wonder if I go through all those posts how many I can find that aren't even that great. I can just look at the Hurt and Heal thread for that and this thread.

If you're wanting to become a Moderator, you should read up on the sitewide rules. You'd know that double posting is not allowed. ^^

And tornjinx was making that message before me. I was just quicker and he actually knows what he's talking about as well. Maybe you should read what he said because nothing in that post is useless comments or an attempt to make him look smarter.

And your current attitude is not one fit to be a Moderator. I suggest you change it if you ever have a hope to become a Moderator.
