Question About Crackdown 2

Okay, I am playing the original game now, and after my initial thoughts on not liking it, I have gotten really far into the game. I am talking obsessive here! lol I have not done a single career mission, although I think that mostly entails killing generals and kingpins. I have collected every orb (500 Agility, 200 Hidden) have maxed out all my skills stats (driving, agility, strength, etc), have completed all the Street Races with every car, though I did avail myself of a glitch because, quite frankly, the races were just getting boring and frustrating. Anyway, I did all of the regular races, rooftop and vehicle races and placed first. I am about halfway through the Stunt Rings and I have yet to start doing the Time Trials on Psychotic for that achievement, and then I am going to finish up the game.

Anyway, my question is concerning the difficulty of some of the side stuff. One of the things that I find really frustrating is that some of the side quests, like the harder rings, the insane street races, and other issues are really cutting into my "fun" in the game.

Does Crackdown 2 follow suit with this? I am not talking about killng the generals and bosses, but the other stuff.

Yeah, sounds like I am going to finish up Crackdown to 100% completion and all the Achievements, and pass on Crackdown 2. The fact is that I hate when games are overly difficult, and it ruins the experience for me. I was kind of on my guard already becase recently I read an interview with the developers of Crackdown where at least one of them expressed a desire to make very difficult games that, in his words, "...would challenge the developers."

Not for anything, but I read that and I thought to myself that this person is an elitist prick who probaby got his ass handed to him every day throughout grammar school and high school, never had a date in college, and has a secret desire to get back at all the cool kids who had a steady diet of beating the living shit out of him. I read shit like this and I stop feeling bad about being a bit of a bully growing up, to be quite honest. lol But I digress. While the developer mentioned it would bve suicide to make a game that difficult, what I find interesting is that he managed to sneak some ridiculously difficult things into Crackdown and from your post, it sounds like Crackdown 2 is a game that will infuriate me more than entertain me. So I think I'll pass. Thanks.

Chiro dude, you're a beast for collectibles. I've never met anybody whose so obsessive about clearing up stuff like this. Even in GTA you do hidden package sets multiple times. Collectibles destroy a game for me. That's why I knew I'd never get the achievements for the agility and hidden orb in crackdown.
