Thoughts on a Sequel [SPOILERS]

I think they're won't be a new hero actually, as hinted in the ending. As for the sequel, it's already been confirmed by the composer.

You mean go back do the same thing Castlevania had always done for sequels? :s


Times are changing, while I'm apprehensive about the concept I trust Mercurysteam will make a good job of it.

Well that would work, but I wished Gabriel hadn't changed. it would have been better to have him return as the protaganist.

Sorry to bump/double post guys, but I figured it made more sense than starting a new thread. Anyway, I have a new reason for why I think new games may have you go back in time playing as different vampire hunters fighting Gabriel/Dracula through out time before the story properly hits present day.
Perhaps this wasn't intentional, but in the epilogue right after Gabriel says "Eu sunt Dracul", Zobek responds "No doubt you once were..." "look at you now. A mere shadow of your former self." Doesn't this sound like Zobek is referring to Dracula more than Gabriel. After Gabriel announces himself to be Dracula does it really make sense that Zobek is referring to Gabriel (non Dracula form) when he says "you once were"? Sorry if this is confusing. Besides, he had to get the name Dracula from somwhere right? I doubt he got it from hiding in old buildings for years.

Well hopefully the upcoming DLC will at least tell us how he went from a man seeking revenge, to a cold violent man, to a redeemed man, and somehow back to a cursed man. It should be interesting to see what Gabriel's done.
I doubt we can expect to see any of his glorious reign as Dracula until a sequel then.
