	Log in to remove this sponsored message I really only got the chance to devote time to this game on weekends, so I really dragged ass getting to the end, but finally got there! I loved the ending, though I agree that Satan was a character that I don't really care to have beaten, as he'd only sprung up a few seconds earlier. He was indeed the easiest boss. Alternate colors, mash Square. I loved the post-credits movie tbqh; I was freaked out by the locale when he just blasted out the window; I didn't really focus too much on it actually being a setting for a game, just a reference point into how long he's lived. Until then for all I knew this was a week later. quote BadassNinja I think the same thing that happened with the Lords of Shadow happened to Gabriel. Maybe when he dies his dark side is left behind and becomes Dracula. I just couldn't see Gabriel himself turning evil like that. A good thought. Granted he left a little sad, but ultimately he was redeemed. Why turn into lord of the vampires? Why does he live forever? None of that was really implied or explained. 	Castlevania has had a modern setting before. This is nothing new. I mean, most of the DS ones take place after 1999. Dawn of Sorrow, for instance, takes place in, i believe, 2036.

	Meh, I don't really care for the handheld games because I could never get them. As long as it doesn't end uplooking like DMC I won't be bothered. It could easily work otherwise. Sonic - I believe Gabriel is going to end up seeing Laura sometime again in the future... -------------------

	That's too bad. The handheld ones, before Lords of Shadow, were the best Castlevanias in years. Hell, they still are in some ways.

	Yeah the "MetroidVania" games were really good. Those actually lasted a while, unlike the side scroller CV's. That being said, while Lords of Shadows's gameplay isn't exactly original and it does need a bit of work, the game was very much enjoyable. And the story, which needed such a reboot, it definitely did its job. -------------------

	Spoiler: SPOILZERZ I just beat the game today. While reading through comments on a youtube video about the game's ending, I thought of something. I doubt Gabrielle had any descendants, so the Belmont bloodline most likely ended with him. However, when there are no Belmonts to wield the Vampire Killer, the Morris family takes over. This got me thinking, and I'm wondering if perhaps a redone Jonathan or a new Morris might be the protagonist of the next game. ------------------- ^ Click The Game if you just lost.

I wasnt planing on purchasing either DLC, but if they can help let in on the secret of the vampire gabriel in the future, then yes, I'll buy them -------------------

	Unless you're very interested in the storyline, I would not suggest buying both DLC's. They're both very short. Even the ending to Resurrection feels incomplete, though it does explain Gabriel's change completely (starting with his complete lack of humanity). Not just as a vampire but also how he becomes more powerful than even a Lord of Shadow. -------------------

	Only because this has recently been bumped. Spoiler:Extra Chapters For those interested...this game is NOT tied in with anything you know about the Castlevania plot or timeline. It was designed to be a alternate timeline (or universe). Did it ever occur to you why the Vampire Killer has a new origin...and is a cross instead of an actual whip? As for how Gabriel became Dracula...there are two chapters that were eventually released to be downloaded. The first...Laura was even playable briefly, though at the end...Gabriel absorbs her power and soul so he can confront the true villain. The second...included the 'Forgotten One' (not the same from Lament of Innocence) as the final boss. Once beaten...Gabriel absorbed the 'God of Darkness' powers which in combination with Laura, resulted in him becoming Dracula. In the end...he even destroyed the Vampire Killer. I haven't actually played the additional chapters (due to no wireless in xbox...but this is what I read on wikipedia, and I have watched videos on the final two chapters. 	Yes, unfortunately there seems to still be people (though not on this site I think) who still can't seem to understand this is a reboot to the series. It's kind of annoying actually. One thing I think is important to point out though, Gabriel doesn't become Dracula; he becomes Dracul. -------------------
