Driver Style

What's yours like?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can sort of set your kart's properties based on how you like your karts to be. In the ModSpot or anywhere like that, just press R1 to go to your mods/karts. Then press R2 twice and you'll get to the Driver Style. There, you can, like I said, sort of change the way your kart runs.

Posted how to get there because it doesn't seem like people know. The majority of people I see online still have theirs in neutral, haha.

Anyway, in racing games, I've always liked to be more in control of my kart. So obviously my style is something like this:

Drift(-1) - > Handling(+1)
Acceleration(+1) < - Speed(-1)

Eh it's sort of a "beginner" setup, but that's how I've always liked it.

Can't say about this specific topic but what im about to ask might be relevant (could affect stats). While creating my mod/kart on the demo i noticed materials, metal, rubber and (plastic?). Do these change performance or just appearance?

If i were to pick i'd probably have +1 drift and -1 acceleration. I value handling but the handling i found in the demo was already good enough. I also like using a short boost to accelerate, not that i need to since i hardly crash

Yah I think thats exactly what it means. The more drift points that u put the easier it is to steer while ure drifting, but it will be hard to turn when u drive regularly, since it will be -2 handling. If its +2 handling, then it will be easier to turn when u drive normally, but it might be kinda hard to steer when u drift.

The feeling of easy steering is subjective tho. Some ppl like lighter handling, some ppl like heavier handling. I guess it depends on the situation as well.

When you have +2 Drift, you don't need to steer anyways, you can drift nearly the entire time on any track. Personally i have +2 to Drift and +2 to Top Speed, like someone above i use boost to accelerate. I hardly ever use it to 'Go faster' if you know what i mean

Same here actually, i kind of want some missiles or sonic booms to knock me over the line, just looks epic.
