The world of Eorzea is about to be revealed in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for the PS4. Earlier, Square Enix released a new trailer for A Realm Reborn, detailing new features that weren't in the game's PS3 port. Towards the end, another piece of news was thrown in: the rebooted MMO's PS4 port will have a platform-specific beta starting February 22.
It's unknown how beta access will work. What we do know, however, is that you'll be able to use your PS4 controller's touchpad as a mouse to scroll across the screen, making it marginally easier to navigate menus. Remote Play on the PS Vita is also supported, so you won't have to worry about being attacked if you have to get up to handle some business while leveling your miner.
If you haven't pre-ordered the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn yet and don't have a PS3 version to upgrade, consider checking out the goodies in the collector's edition. Eorzea and all of her catgirls will be making its next gen debut April 14.
