What Class are you planning to make, and Why?

I for one am going to make a Lancer because Lancers in Final Fantasy Tactics was one of the most badazz classes of thier time. I know you can alternate from class to class by changing weapons but my main class will be a Lancer or Ranger.

I'll stick with healing. Not only is a healer ALWAYS in high demand, but I seem to pick up the mechanics really quick. It isn't difficult to click and cast, it's just finding the most efficient way to do it.

I'm thinking probably archer but although I never tried it myself in XI I heard it was really expensive.

All I know is I'm gonna be dunesfolk Lalafell and a melee class primarily, if not Archer then maybe Gladiator.

i'll start with a mithra(Miqo'te)Lancer. mithra because they look cool.

i am aware of that, thank you.i know that you have the chance to level up all your class, you can also use the skills you gained from that class (for example, you unlocked the cure spell for conjurer, you can use that spell even if you switch class).i havent got the game yet, im still waiting for the standard edition to come out september 30th, the collector's edition is a rip off the same goes for the monthly fee. when i get the game im gonna start boosting my lancer, and then the marauder, and so on.

"Yes, skills are transient across classes, however you have something called Action Points which determine how many skills you can equip. It's almost like the system from Final Fantasy IX, where you could equip a set number of abilities based on the Ability Points that a particular character had.

Of course, the Action Points go up as your Rank goes up, and different abilities cost different amounts. Usually they cost 3, but I've seen some that cost 1, and some that even cost 0 to equip. ;D"

@principality thanks for the info. im getting the game in the 30th of september, the CE is just too expensive. i have a one very important question, how do you pay for your monthly fee???credit card like final fantasy xi????is there another method like a prepaid card???and what the hell is crysta???

wow!!! that sucks, still a credit card eh??? amazing job square enix! i actually thought this game is gonna be different than ffxi but look its actually the same, they got rid of the stupid PlayOnline service but its still incovenient, unaccessible and unaffordable. what makes this game unique than the other MMORPGs anyways???
really sorry to complain but this isnt a next generation MMO, this is just a cash cow for the company.
Im not saying this game is horrible ok!!!it is just very hard to access it, same as the stupid ffxi.
