Extra Ops 3-9, Gear Rex Strikes Back

With regards to gear rex I would recommend using a naked camo as the speed increase will help you to evade most of gear rex's charging attacks. I generally never use the battle dress, I much prefer the naked camo. The way i see it, being quick enough to avoid getting hit is a much better defense than any amount of armour! If you're just trying to kill it then I would recommend the M134 and the M202A1 with the bandana equipped (if you have it!). Just keep hammering gear rex with the m134 and it will hardly ever get close to you, if it does get too close for comfort then switch to the m202A1 and keep hitting it with rockets while you move away to a safer distance. If you're trying to stun gear rex then prepare for a very intense battle and hope that lady luck is on your side! Use stun grenades, cookbooks and the stun knife when it gets close and keep shooting it with the mk22 and mosin whenever it is safe to do so. Also try to make sure that you always have spare rations waiting on the deck from the supply drops whenever you can. Gear rex won't wait around for you to get them dropped off when you really need them!

As for the target practice missions, The best way i found for these is to play the missions over and over until you know Exactly where each target will pop-up, it won't take you too long to learn the locations. Your weapon choice will make a big difference too, I personally found using the Rank 4 FAL (With Laser sight) was the best weapon for short to medium range targets and the wa2000 is definately the best weapon for long range targets due to its lack of crosshair drift. I cant remember the exact amount of marksmanship points required for s rank but you need to headshot pretty much all of the targets and finish the mission in a good time.
