New Mod/Hacks Lately (Xbox 360)

Has anyone ran into any cheaters actually modifying the game on the 360? I know this shit can be done on PC, but I thought if you modified your Xbox or used an outside program, your 360 would recognize it and not allow you to get on Live. I'm not even talking about modifying it on Campaign, I'm specifically referring to Versus mode.

My friend earlier yesterday afternoon was telling me how he played a game prior to me joining that on Dark Carnival the people spawned like 50 witches in front of the safe room, and all turned into Tanks, did the skywalker glitch (that I thought was patched) among many other random things. Then one of the final games we played tonight, the other 4 people in the lobby asked if we had ran into games like that to which my friend started telling him about his experience.

I'm glad I personally haven't ran into this (yet), but I'm wondering if it's happening this frequently with other people and if anyone knows what program they are using. Having to deal with these lame ass quitters is bad enough, but now blatant cheaters? This is exactly the kind of Code 9 bullshit that used to plague Socom back on the PS2, one which pushed me over the edge to never play the series anymore. So has anyone got some info about this, and if Valve is aware themselves?

I've only heard about that mod being on the PC. Not sure how someone could have made it work on the Xbox though.

And I would honestly like to try it out lol.

Well I have 0 computer logic but maybe hacking this on the 360 can also mean we can mod it?

Like the pc versions or similar? I would die if it where possible.

But no, the wierdest thing I ran into was the weapons from counter-strike which I believe where given to Australians to compensate for the lack of gore.

What your friend just described to you...it sounds like it was either a local server (that the lobby leader hosted) or it was an extreme third-party one. It's often done on the PC, yes, but I'm surprised to hear that the 360 version has these weird setups. The 360 version can check pings though, right? It's good to do that to see who is hosting the game, as it will be their server and they can do whatever they like. Still, it's weird for a console version of the game.

I guess at best just makes sure you join official dedicated servers hosted by Valve rather than the best available kinds.

Well on the PC there are instances where, on Survivors, they can see the Special Infected's aura and such. That's a crack in the system, and a cheat if I ever saw one. These instances just seems like someone messing with the server for the hell of it. Perhaps they are being sore losers and want to drive the opponents away. Spawning many Tanks will lower their defenses apparently, though, like in a very few shots they will go down.

For them to go through the trouble to get this done on the 360 version, however...just seems like they've got nothing better to do.

I was in a scavenge game in Dead Center and this guy was spawning garden gnomes everywhere. Also, he swawned a bunch of chainsaws. I don't think he was really trying to stop us from winning, but to brag about his skills.

You do Flamp? Cause I never have... But then I haven't played L4D2 online for a couple of weeks (The shock! ) so maybe it has but I've not noticed or remembered. Many of my games have been fair in that respect but maybe I'm just blind...
