I'm playing through Dark Carnival, and am currently paused at the "Ring The Bell" game. What am I supposed to do to hit the bell? I tried hitting the pad with my Axe, shooting the bell, throwing a pipe bomb at it, jumping on it, and tons of other things.

Oh, I completely forgot, yeah that's probably a stupid thing to ask then. Well, as soon as anyone can answer, here's an update on my dilemma: I found out the to ring the bell, you have to have a lot of health. I did it multiple times, but the game still refuses to give me the achievement. What should I do?

Also, I've only finished Dead Center and half of Dark Carnival, but from what I've played, the game is very well worth the money. I don't remember the length of the campaigns of the first one too well, but if I do remember correctly, the new campaigns are much longer, and there are now five of them.

Found out you need to take adrenaline and then hammer it, then it goes all the way to the top :-)

I'll give it a try, but I did get it to hit the bell without any achievement.

EDIT: Yep, you were right. Not only does adrenaline allow you to ring the bell, it lets you knock it off of the post, which is needed to get the achievement. Also, for anyone who hasn't played Half-Life 2, when you get the gnome by getting 750 points on the shooting range, you have to carry him through the rest of the campaign, that means having him in your hands when entering a safe room, and having him in your hands when the helicopter takes off.

ahh the little rocket man. still gives me nightmares. Got him all the way to the silo in HL2:E2 only for me to lose him in a fight with a hunter
Should be easier on L4D2 with your teamates around you
