Castlevania, Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear news as it breaks

11:08 - Another short teaser: "Chained by Fate" "Cursed by Blood" "Look intho the mirror June 5th." - Nintendo 3DS.
11:04 - One more surprise! Oh, it's the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 trailer from GTTV an hour ago. Cinematic, very beautiful. This Belmont has a crazy whip, can jump around, and a very well-kept head of hair. Whoa, he just sucked that guy's blood... is this really a Belmont? He turned into a smoke bat. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 logo. Hey, is that Alucard?
11:01 - A Mega64 skit involving Raiden. Raiden at a birthday party, he tries to cut a cake and cuts the table and balloons. Plumber -> Gourmet chef -> professional dog-walker->town crier->ladies love skateboarders->breakdancer->artist->cybernetic security officer. Aww, he found a job just for him. Cuts back into gameplay from the trailer.
10:56 - Fans wanted the opportunity to play through these fast-pased cutscenes from Metal Gear. It had to be Platinum Studios. Atsushi Inaba, producer at platinum games, says his studio's motto is, "We make action games." He believes they are the best action developer in the world. Games need to be easy and intuitive to control. Focus is slashing, and katana aiming should be easy. Battles against cyborgs is core to gameplay. In addition to slashing action, dash mode named ninja mode which allows you to run faster and higher than normal. There are also many non-katana weapons to use -- shows a big spear.
Raiden has grown up, but his soul is still wounded from the civil war he fought in. He's continuously haunted by his guilt. Game is for fans of action games, but Kojima has worked very hard to keep the spirit of Metal Gear alive in the title. Gamers must love Raiden. You won't know how great this game is until you feel in in your hands. Rising will be playable at E3.
10:52 - Trailer for Metal Gear Rising! "Family Murdered" "Child Soldier" "Mind Control" "War Economy" "A World Gone Wrong" Lots of swords, fast action, blood everywhere and plenty of stabbing. Cyborg technology runs rampant... Raiden using the sword to block bullets, time freeze slicing system where he can slice through pillars. Very cinematic action, possibly quick time events? 10:48 - Kojima continues, talking about Metal Gear and how its the series' 25th anniversary. From 2D, to voiced, with music, evolutions you can't find in other mediums. Now, after 25 years, Metal Gear was featured at the Smithsonian museum, an exhibit titled "Art of the Video Game." Last year the HD collection was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. This year, a 3DS version of Metal Gear Solid 3 will be released, then, on June 12, for Vita.
Kojima is also excited about the new "Fox Engine", which he can't talk about right now... "but please stay tuned."
10:45 - Next up are some flashes some screens of classic Zone of the Enders. Hideo Kojima introduces himself. Says robot anime was the inspiration for Zone of the Enders, but ZoE's are faster, they swim across the screen. When first released, ZoE was completely different than anything else. Showing off the HD version of the original ZoE, which will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360. You can really notice the high resolution on robots details. Sunrise anime studio has created a completely new introduction for the game.

10:37 - PES 2013 soccer with Masuda Key, lead developer at the Konami football content studio! Showing off animations and motion capture. New options for the ball-holder, completely new dribbling system - "Death Touch Dribbling." Handles tightly in close situations. Two new types of lofted passes. Dynamic first touch system, using a flick players can lift the ball over opponents heads. Defensive options increased too -- response defending. Enable accurate and easy control for defenders -- not just diving for the ball. Users have complete control over tackles, including fouling. AI is improves as well, balanced defense in the box, and better response near the ball. Keepers animations smoothed, and their decision making is stronger. MyPES, social networking app has also been improved. Also, downloadable demo comign soon!
Christiano Ronaldo is now on-screen, captain of the Pro Evolution 2013 team? Hopes you enjoy the game as much as he does.
10:36 - Busy studying the telemetry of Facebook, now has a partnership with Zynga to publish their social games. No reveals of upcoming games, but watch the next few months for news.
10:35 - John Coligan, head of the operations team at Konami San Francisco is talking about his studio. Close to partners like Apple and google. Frogger Pinballer, and Frogger Frenzy, also Frooger Classic.
10:33 - Proud of their new development studio in San Francisco. It's the home of Konami's upcoming social games.
10:31 - Hologram appears, welcoming us! Konami president says he has an exciting show planned.
