EA Labels president Frank Gibeau announced the figure during the firm's Investor Relations call last night. The figure is based on the Dead Space 2's pre-order sales from the same time period during 2010. Gibeau also responded to criticism regarding the direction Dead Space 3 was taking. Fans have expressed their concern pertaining to the game's focus on its action-filled co-op component instead of the usual horror elements. "We believe the new co-op gameplay feature is attracting a lot of attention and a broader audience." Elsewhere, Crysis 3 pre-orders "are roughly three-times what they were for Crysis 2, at this time in 2010". In the same investor's call, EA confirmed Star Wars: The Old Republic would be adding a free-to-play option, while Battlefield 3 Premium saw over 1.3 million subscribers signing up for the service. 	Really? After all the hate this game has gotten? I wonder how many of those pre-orders are from weak minded individuals that complained, saying they wouldn't buy it. I won't be buying this as to me this game isn't Dead Space, it's Army of Two: Space Edition. I don't care how much EA say that co-op is optional, I don't care about co-op I like co-op but it's the cover based shooting, the human enemies, the near unlimited ammo that I don't like. What I won't do though is say I won't buy it and then buy it anyway like so many people probably have.

	I have the same concerns as everyone else, but I enjoyed the previous 2 enough to give this a chance (depending on reviews/public opinion on release). If all my fears are realised, I just won't bother with any future Dead Space title. Not pre-ordering I can understand, but to state right now, this long before release that you absolutely will not be buying the game seems a little naive.
