Only 2 days left of the GoW3 beta. I was thinking of preordering lol. Guess i was too late.

And can you trade a game back in just a few days after and still get full price back? Or do use the reciept and tell them you wern't satisfied?

That what I hate, I buy a game, i don't like it, so then I have to suffer for it by not getting my money back... Which is why i've taken to renting games first.

If i still want to play the game after a week, then it's worth the full price. If I'm bored with it in a week or i've completed it, IMO, it's not worth it.

I have yet to rent or buy this game though, I'm thinking of just buying it straight away, it seems like something i'd enjoy.

You guys do know Splash Damage is mainly a PC developer, and their console ports are usually bad right? Look at Quake Wars, great game, shitty console port. I don't hate it man, it just had SOOO much more potential than this. It's the biggest flop of 2011. I've never played Quake wars sorry.

Sorry but in this day and age there is a certain benchmark graphically that games have to strive achieve, I'm a suck and can be sold based majorly on graphics,however not entirely. This game is just a sore to look at, it's crushing to view a perfectly rendered cut scene and then start playing in blotchy, muddy pixels.

I tried playing it again last night with my mate for the sake of £30 but it just made me hate it more. As an engineer I set up a turret and sat on it, racking up about 50 kills. The sound effect of the turret is *bleep*ing stupid, the muzzle flare looks ridiculous, it's just little things like the fact there's no warm up whirring of the mounted turret, you press right trigger and it starts firing straight away. The game just feels rushed, it's like the gameplay is a beta or something. I don't understand why in your armour/weaponcustomisation the graphics are stupendous; I equipped a silencer to my gun and zoomed in really closely and it looks incredible, why can't the actual game be like that?

As far as the gameplay goes, the people that made brink used to just create and distribute free quake mods, so it's no shock they had trouble putting together some kind of decent game modes. Where's team deathmatch? Why do I have to defend this shitty bridge? why is there now like an APC turret vehicle driving around? What class do I need to be to do this objective? If I'm soldier can I disarm that bomb? Who's on my team? I am a very patient guy when it comes to games, I've sat through some abysmal games for the sake of a bit of fun but this game is doing nothing for me. I played the game yesterday for the first time however it doesn't come out properly here until Friday, anyone think there'll be a massive update to refurbish things or am I hoping for too much? I've been reading some reviews of this game and I'm trying to work out what sum of money convinces the journalist this game is good, cos some reviews have been brutal

If you really can settle for bare minimum adequacy then go ahead and hit this game up, however I'd highly suggest getting Portal 2, waiting for LA Noir or getting back on the Gears 3 beta like me.

Anyway I dont see why everyone is in the mind set of "If the graphics arent good, the game must suck" So by this logic, if I made the most beautiful game you've ever seen in your life, but the only thing you could do was wander around the environment, you would buy it? You need to look at the GAMEPLAY.

Many people also dont realize this is a team oriented game. You can do objectives on your own, but it works better if you work with your friends/AI. I really hate when people say its repetitve (IGN, holy stupid review...), what game isnt? The entire call of duty series is the same thing over and over. Hey look! its WWII! Oh hey! We are in the middle east! same guns, same gameplay, same graphics, yet its still the best selling shooter out there. The core of any shooter is, move over here, shoot some guys, progress forword. The repetative card is not valid.

This isnt call of duty, so dont compare it to it. Its a whole new type of game, a team based free running rpg shooter. Everyone has their right to opinions, but when you insta shoot a game down after not even playing for a couple hours, and dont bother to really try and understand it, of course you wont like it.

Ha ha thanks! I'm just so sick of CoD fans shooting down any game that's not of CoD origins. Or halo for that matter. Its nice to have a new shooter that strays from the old style of shooter gameplay. Ive never before bothered with buying a gold membershipe, but this game may do it

It's awesome. It's like all the style and coolness of Borderlands, with some TF2 thrown in for good measure, then topped off with slight hints realistic shooter (and not CoD, cause let's face facts Counterstrike is the original mccoy )

Yeah I was always a MASSIVE fan of Borderlands, so I personally love the graphics style of Brink. I actually havent been able to buy it, due to summer classes starting and limited funds, but I think ill try and get it soon, because regardless of what many say, I think it looks great.
