Evil clone of Optimus Prime. With a gun, of course. And the trailer changes into a battle station with all kinds of firing projectiles. And he has a SWORD.

Nice sculpt. Several points of articulation. Neat paint app and color scheme.

Not bad for a fig released ten years ago and was a repaint of one from six years before that, huh?

Nice and solid piece for a TF collection.

And since it was a Toys R Us exclusive, it's a bit tougher to find than others from the same time.

Yeah, cheapest I see him online is $60 US with some going over double that. Glad I got mine YEARS ago.

I recently picked these two up from my local Kohl's.



Cybertronian Megatron and Cybertronian Optimus Prime, who are both based off the War for Cybertron game that came out a few months ago. I love them, even though Prime was a pain in the ass to transform.

I've been collecting sparingly the past couple of years. I'm more of a fan of the Beast Wars series, as you can see, haha. I've got The Generation line of Cheetor and Dinobot as well as the 10th Anniversary edition of Rattrap. Beast Wars seem to be getting more expensive and scarce. I've seen the 10th anniversary set of Optimus Primal and Megatron and it seems to be rising higher in price every year. I've been wanting to build my roster of Maximals and Predacons from the show, but I have the unfortunate luck of having a finite money supply in my wallet.

One comic dealer I know filled a box (huge ass carton about half the size of a refrigerator) with the basic and deluxe Beast Wars figures during their first year or so as they would have been like $4.99 and $8.99 at the time. And just put them up. Popped them out like three years ago and made a killing at a show.

And just wanna say I just made a purchase of Takara's reissue of Megatron, which would be the TM-SP DX version. I should be getting it next week, so I'm pretty excited about it.

Nice! I would buy it myself, but the customs laws are so stringent in Australia that because Megatron resembles a gun in transformed mode, he can't be imported. So, I'm not paying $400 for someone to smuggle it into the country for me. I might consider $200 max, but that's it.

Not sure. He was unloading the little guys pretty well at about 20 bucks each and 40 for the deluxes.

Do know that he loaded up on a garage full of toys from the 70s and 80s after that though.
