This sprite looks very powerful and very final stage like, but it does have it's issues. It's extremely big. You don't have to make a sprite huge to make it look ferocious. all of the lines around him are too dark. The plates on his chest/neck don't follow the way his actual neck/chest curves. The tail's outline is a straight line for a good part of it.

Well it does represent a first stage pretty well, but as a starter, it doesn't have enough character. All starters are normally full of character. It's eyes are too high up and are also too big. The body is great though.

Why isn't this in you and Aether's fakedex????? Make it happen NOW! It's adorable and cute. It's a little too big as a first stage, and it's a little too basic for a second stage, but it's still a great sprite. Just a little side comment, but I feel it's tongue sticking out is kind of unnessecary and it looks more like an after thought to the sprite. Oh an PS i can't tell you haven't sprited in months.

This is probably my favorite sprite of the round, looks wise. It captures the pokemon feel that the other sprites didn't. I can totaly see this as a final stage but four things bother me. It has no tail, it has no hind back leg, it's ears don't have an inside to them, and the way the first line on the trunk lines up with the head, makes it look like the trunk is on the side of the head.

Well as surprising as it is, we didn't get nearly enough entries to have a decent sized tournament... so we are already at the final round. Since this is the final round. It will be long and challenging the Theme is this

Theme:Water Gym Leader
Description:The final gym leader of a new region is a water gym leader. You are in charge of making him/her. The gym leader must include this though
1 Trainer Sprite
1 Mugshot
1 Signature Pokemon (should resemble the gym leader)
1 Pure Water Type
1 Water Duel Type Not yet done yet
1 Water Retype
2 Other Other Water Pokemon

Only the signature pokemon should resemble the gym leader, the other pokemon don't have to look like him/her at all.

Now the way you enter them is the key since the final round is done by POINTS in each round. First place gets 4 points, second gets 3, third gets 2, and the fourth one gets 1. The total points of the 8 rounds is your final score for the theme.

The last soul silver tourney forced you to do 12 sprites in the same amount of days

Well, I feel as though a jump from 1 sprite to 8 is a bit much, ya think? It can't be helped that there were only 4 entrants, but you could've, I dunno, increased the deadline for it? The Realms of Black tourney gave us 2 weeks to join, and then the final round gave them about the same amount of time as here, but had about 6 or 7 rounds in between, so we could all get more and more used to making a large amount in a short time. I just feel like this could've had a bit more thought put into it, seemed kinda rushed and you wanted it over and done with.

Not to mention a tournament isn't exciting if it takes 2 weeks to finish, one of which is the qualifying round.

Sorry if I'm sounding like another Albeitwl, from The Spriting Contest, generation 3. Fourthbeat would know what I'm talking about...

Im pretty sure everyone that would've entered has noticed there is a tourney. If they haven't entered by now, they decided to pass

Everyone, calm down. A four-person tournament is just fine. At this rate, nobody else was going to join. Maybe it's bad timing (especially for me, with term papers and finals all rapidly approaching), but Brodeo is in charge and can do as he pleases. If you're all complaining about it - and haven't even entered - then you can enter the next one. If you're complaining that spriting is dead, do something about it. Enter a sprite, even if you think it's crap. Even if it's a sprite you've entered before. Whatever. Don't say "Waahh spriting is dying" and then do nothing to try to keep it alive.

Also, the only type that hasn't been paired with Water is Fire. So. Everyone has to do that for their "1 Dual type which hasn't been done before"...

That's all I got.

The odds of me getting all these sprites done on time are slim. I have an oral presentation and term paper due this Tuesday, and another term paper due the following week. But I'll squeeze it in as stress relief and do my best C: Good luck to everyone else! Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
