for beginners try to focus on two stats you would like to max out. kill pokemon that gives you 1 ev. you can find them if the pokemon is in their smallest form. kill 252 of them. make sure the pokemon gives ev in the stats u want your pokemon to raise (example) geodude gives 1 ev for defense. if you want your pokemon to max out defense kill 252 geodude. remember max in two stats so if you like def and attack then kill 252 geodude and 252 goldeen. as u get familiar with this u can use power items to save time. good luck
