Quickest way to hatch eggs?

Get a Pokémon like Slugma or Magmortar in your party and it cuts the number of steps needed in half. From there, I usually just go up and down in Goldenrod even though that most likely isn't the longest continuous stretch. Try maybe the Cycling Road outside of Fuschia city?

Just to build upon that, it's because of their shared abilities known as Magma Armour and Flame Body. Pokemon that have either/both abilities include:

- Slugma
- Magcargo
- Camerupt
- Magby
- Magmar
- Magmortar

The effect is that eggs will only take half the time to hatch while a Pokemon with that ability is in your party! ^^

That's the reason I love Goldenrod so. And it doesn't get as boring as some of the other areas.

For HG/SS, Cycling Road would be a good place but I usually go to Diamond and go from the Hollow Tower straight up, through Solaceon Town, up the mud slide, through the path between the grass, and right next to the restaurant. It has a nice number of steps per run IMO.

I counted and it's not so much more that it's worth taking 5 minutes to trade back and forth though.

In soul silver is there any step tricks, like making ur bike run against something to accumulate steps?

I say beside the pokeathlon dome there is a track go around it as lot:)
