Something like Starmie or Espeon would be better, just use a Slave to fly. Uhh Gible probably aint gonna reach Garchomp by the E4 without taking everyone elses EXP. Dont recommend. Thanks for the good advice. We'll hold off on Gible (which leaves another slot open ...) Re: the Psychic - What about Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam? Good high sp att and speed. Readily available in SS: Routes 5, 6, 8, 24, 25, 34, 35, and Safari Zone and Goldenrod Game Corner.

	Thanks for the helpful moveset advice. I was opting for high accuracy moves to try and get through with least luck involved. It's a bug/Special move so covers that issue for Umberon mentioned eailer (Umberon 4x weak to bug). I'm new to this, so I'm assuming that weakness is applicable to a move so Umberon would have 4x weakness to a Signal Beam attack, notwithstanding that the attacking type is electric?

Typhlosion: I didn't put Eruption because I doubt you will have your Typhlosion at level 57 for the E4. Feraligatr: Another Water move would be a waste. Give it some type difference. Amphy: I didn't put Fire Punch because its Attack is bad and Thunderbolt is not available or is not easy to get. Thunder Wave would be good if you wanted it. Keep charge. It doubles the power of Electric moves. Making discharge have 200 power even when not Super Effective. With Super effective 280.

	Hmm i did the same thing with garchomp, i got to the elite 4 and then traded someone for a gible egg and leveled up to lvl 50 before i entered it. I mainly trained pokemon in victory road and i would reccomend teaching earthquake to garchomp rather than typhlosion since the STAB. Its really not that hard to lvl it up enough before e4. I think it took me a couple hours of trying hard. Exp share helps on the lower lvls but not 100% needed. And garchomp really helps for lances dragonites, with Dragon claw and dragon fang equipped you can most likely one hit them at lvl 50. Also reccomend going with Alakazam, he pretty much sweeps 2 e4 members by himself. Koga and bruno. My team now is 48 Jolteon 56 typhlosion 54 Blastoise 56 Garchomp 55 Tyranitar 55 Alakazam Pretty happy with it and covers everything i encounter. ------------------- SS FC 3438 5482 4746

	Yeah way to assume im talking about wifi battling. I could care less about battling people online, im talking strictly ingame. I mean if you just wanna slap every possible moveset on every possible pokemon then yeah alot of pokemon could take out multiple pokemon of mine. 	Here. Your team should be lvled up at least to 55-60. Get. Super powerful moves and hack away. The elite four is SUPER EASY with proper training ------------------- I do everything like a boss!!!!!!

	Thanks for all the great help. For the benefit of other here's what we've decide to go for (my son's training notes): 1. Cyndaquil / Quilava / Typhlosion Flamewheel Swift Lava Plume Flamethrower Eruption (later on) 2. Mareep / Flaffy / Ampharos Fire Punch Charge Discharge Signal Beam (Bug Special Move) Good for Umberon in E4. (later on swap out Fire Punch for Thunderbolt TM24 obtained from Cerulean Cave after getting the earth badge) 3. Totodile, Croconaw Feraligatr Surf Waterfall Crunch Ice Fang (replace Ice Fang with TM 13 Ice Beam once you get it) 3. Gible/Gabite/Garchomp Dragon Claw Dig Crunch Slash 5. 1st HM slave with 'Fly'. To be subsequently replaced with Lugia (Psychic/Flying)once caught. We'll try for Murkrow /Honkrow (Dark/Flying). Found Routes 7 and 16 (Night), Safari Zone in SS 6. 2nd HM Slave, alternating between: Furret strength cut rock smash quick attack Bellsprout Flash Cut Vine whip Due to the limted slots, we'll defer looking for a Hercross. 	my team was dragonite: -fly -waterfall -dragon rush -ice punch heracross: -brick break -megahorn -aerial ace -close combat starmie: -surf -thunderbolt -icebeam -recover ampharos: -charge -discharge -signal beam -thunderwave togekiss: -air slash -extrasensoory -wish -flamethrower i chose meganium as my starter which really didnt do anything in the E4 honestly (replaced with t-tar later) so the sixth spot could be w/e this is just a couple good pokemon that are good against the E4, not saying you should use it but i beat E4 without any revives with this team I got all of them to lv 50 before i started besides heracross and dragonite were lv 55 -------------------

	You don't really need the best team ever. My team was awful and I got through on the first try. Compare that to my 10 times on platinum (hey, they kept criticals, sue me). The only problem is lance so pick up a piloswine in the Ice Path if possible. Thunder Wave won't touch you.
