	It wasn't just that, there were some other spam problems I recall. Not sure if we should go ahead with it, half of you are supporting it, half aren't.

	And you're comparing how this forum was run and how it is now. Both Origin and myself are active on this forum and most of the activity in that thread would be going on when I'm on anyways. We can set up some rules for it and if you guys don't follow then we can warn/ban you and if you don't learn we can shut the GD down. The problem was that nobody could handle themselves appropriately. Apparently, off-topic = anything goes, at least in the minds of a lot of the regulars. That was months ago though, and I'm sure a lot of you have learned from past behavior what is and is not acceptable discussion material. I see no harm in giving it (another) shot. Just wanted to clear that up so there was no confusion.

You're still implying that Gef was the problem, when that wasn't the case at all. The problem was the community couldn't be left alone for 10 minutes without making complete dicks of themselves. If you ACTUALLY think that a new moderating team will solve all the problems, then go ahead. But think about this scenario; say it goes down like the titanic, as everyone is seeming to imply. You've handed out countless bans and warnings, and all the discussion has been drained from all the other threads, and people are spamming elsewhere, regardless of what thread it is. Was it really worth it? A general discussion doesn't work here. Prove me wrong if you like. But I'd also say that there's no point if we have a social forum on the way.
