this sounds like a challenge i would like to try on platinum sometime its not stupid to those who think so. You all who think its stupid must not find challenges like this fun but find tryin to beat whitney the first time is a challenge.most ppl can beat her first try

Check out the comics, learn more about the challenge, etc. It really makes the game that much harder, and the comics are pretty entertaining.

There are many variations to this ruleset.
You can even add your own.

Such as that Shiny Pokemon, regardless of whether you've caught a Pokemon on the same route you find it on, can be caught.

Another rule is also a form of intermediate level; when a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead, but you may revive it ONCE ONLY with a Revive that you FOUND ON THE WORLD, NOT bought from a shop.

There's SO many variations you can create; it's generally a great way to keep the game fun and interesting after completing one of the Pokemon games for the first time.

Me, My brother and my friend all play Nuzlocke "Battles" play the same game; usually the 3rd Pokemon game in a generation (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Diamond) and see who gets the furthest, all taking different Starters.

It's very fun, and you get so into it.
