a glitch with ditto?

I found a wild ditto and it transformed into my croconaw. I beat it to within an inch of its life and used a pokeball, it failed. so I thought about it, and used a net ball figuring the ditto atm is water type.

However...

When I caught the ditto, much to my surprise it retained my Croconaw's move set. I have a ditto that uses WATER GUN! it also bites... somehow.

Anyway, is this a common problem among the masses?

Actually, this is a true glitch that apparently happens with all copies of HG/SS.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPEN! It happened when I caught it with my Totodile! I used a bunch of different pokeballs because it kept escaping, and I finally used an Ultra. When I caught it, it had Bite, Scratch, Rage, and Water Gun just like my Totodile!

I went to the pokecenter a lot and the moves have stayed. When I caught it I had a space in my party, so I don't know if it does this when it goes to the PC or not when you catch it.

Let me get this straight: If you catch a Ditto in HG/SS after it transforms, it will keep the moves? Or is only if you catch it with a certain ball, or on a certain version of the game?

I need to know this stuff.

Whenever I played it (I have SoulSilver) I was fighting a Level 10 Ditto just above the DayCare Center. I got it down until it had 2-3 HP left or so then spammed it with regular Pokeballs. It kept breaking out so I tried a friend ball, it didn't work either...

It broke out of two great balls too, then I used an Ultra and caught it. The OP used a Net Ball and it did the same thing mine did and I used an Ultra so...I don't think the type of ball matters.

I know! It's pretty crazy lol But it makes me want to use Ditto for more than breeding now. Which is awesome.

I wonder how many other people will take advantage of this now that they know! lol

This is such an awesome glitch. Just hoping the European version has this glitch to!!
