How do i unlock Latios & Groudon in soul silver?? - Page 3

get all the kanto gym badges and go catch mewtwo its not that hard. level up a scyther (bug catching contest) and have it learn false swipe. boost its speed with a bunch of carbos and when you whittle down mewtwo's else hit it once with false swipe which shouild leave it with one health then throw ultra balls until caught. (i would stock up with at least 100 ultra balls) then have mewtwo learn flamethrower (or desired fire move) ice beam, and thunderbolt (once again strongest ice and electric move u can find. and you should be able to defeat red with this mewtwo (mine was at about level 85 so train it at the elite 4) and you should be able to defeat red...

Okay this is how u get latios/latias first u have to talk to that mimic girl in saffron in her house and she'll ask you to get her doll back cuz she lost it and then u go to the fan club talk to the fat guy and he'll give it to you then u walk out and steven will talk to you

if you started out with Cyndiquil than now you have Typhlosion which needs to know earthquake to beat that Pikachu. Than get you Ampharos high enough to take out Lapras and Blastoise get something with a rock type move like Ampharos and take out Charizard. Than a fire type to take out Venasuar sorry for any spelling errors hope this helps takes a lot of training btw

yeah i mean red is hard to beat...but i beat him on my first try with a lvl. 60 mew, a lvl 61 raichu, a lvl 63 crobat, a lvl 60 marowak, a lvl 64 lapras and a lvl 67 houndoom plus like around 50 revives and hyper potions. so it's not impossible, and you don't HAVE to have specific things really. you just have to be strategic with what you already have.

Nah, Red's not really that difficult if you bring the right Pokemon with the right moves.

If you what tf unlock GROUNDON you have to beat red then go to Mrs. Pokemon.

1. at any time in the game go to the copycats house in saffron city. talk to the girl. then go to the pokemon fan club in vermilion city and talk to the man for the doll. once you leave the building stephen from emerald, ruby, and sapphire will show you a poster of latios. it will then roam kanto at lvl 35. once you return the doll to the copycat, shell give you a magnet train pass. use that to get from saffron to goldenrod city.

2.next up is red in mt silver. Beating red takes patience!!!! Save in front of him before challenging him. I only had 3 Pokemon because my Golem, Magnezone, and palkia (all trades from my pearl version) were too weak hahaha. This is how i beat him.

Pikachu- 2 psychics and one strength (red used a potion) with mewtwo
Snorlax- several sky attacks and recovers (more potions) with ho-oh
Lapras- 2 thunderbolts with mewtwo
Blastoise- 1 thunderbolt with mewtwo
venasaur- 2 psychics and one poison jab ( another potion!)
charizard- 1 thunderbolt with mewtwo (thunderbolt didnt take it out all the way and it used flare blitz and got a critical hit and fainted mewtwo) 2 surfs with lugia ( another potion and flare blitz took it out) and finally, a suicide sky attack with ho-oh finished it. (by the way my rhydon was still alive)

my mewtwo was lvl 76. my ho-oh was lvl 74. my lugia was lvl 60. my golem and rhydon were lvl 55. and my magnezone was lvl 63 (it couldve taken out lapras but its zap cannon missed.)

3. now you can go to silph co in saffron city to get a hoenn starter from stephen. he asks you what kind of rock you want or something. answer green for treeko, blue for mudkip, or red for torchic. then go to oak in pallet town to receive a kanto starter.

go to mr pokeons house and get an orb. then go to the hidden tower on route 47. groudon should be there at lvl 50.
