	Log in to remove this sponsored message . The forum colours would be nice to see changed to a light blue scheme . Credit added to the header and/or footer for the creators of the header and footer . Add to the header, such as links to other forums and to important threads within the forum, including a nice theme to make it flow . Also wouldn't mind seeing a forum scheme bar installed, such as that used in Loungin' and other forums. 	Seeming as you have time to post but not reply to my PM after reading it, I will reiterate myself here. I must say though, the reason I took one to PM is because it may come off as presumptive. quote I have some further ideas to propose to you. 	Already one there ZL and there has always been a spriting contest in major forums since I came to this site, myself having been a judge of a few. It's always been a good bringer of fun and makes a nice sub community. You could, in all honesty, say the vast majority of forum games aren't specific to the game. I mean "What's that Pokemon" for example is not specific but it's still a game used in loads of Pokemon forums. It's not a strict guideline to be specific to the game when making game threads, they are more general. Having said this, I did outline that they can try using the new sprites, which does indeed directly relate to Soul Silver. 	My suggestions is to invite them, they don't have to be moved. If they say no, then a new one can be made easily. I just think as that forum is dying and they're losing their activity because of it, it'd be polite to let them continue here where they can thrive again. Trust me, people won't think of moving. 	I swear I made the invite thing clear three times now. You extend a polite offer to help them move over here, it's nothing do with forcing or sounding like you're making them move at all. Not everyone thinks about moving threads, in fact many members go around Neoseeker not even realising it can be done. I'm giving you an easier option than establishing an entirely new contest, I'm doing you a favour. I've only judged around 12 contests in my time, directly owning the highly successful TC and Chao contests of Pearl, so I know what I'm saying. I've spent enough time around those contests to say that culturally and structurally, moving it will be a better option for everyone. I'm just trying to do a nice thing for members, I can see a likely event happening where someone of no skill gets the go ahead here and makes a terribly run contest, seen it happen before. Why not let a bunch of really decent guys and girls, with plenty of experience, take the spot? A "Who's that Pokemon?" thread with pictures sounds interesting, as in the past they've just been word based and nothing more as far my memory serves. Having said that, I imagine we're looking at something more intricate than a simple black out? DA Edit: Doesn't matter really Brad, it's the same people coming here in the first place from that contest and everyone knows each other from the General Pokemon Forum at any rate. 	Those threads don't really encourage one line posting, from my experience. The person running the round has to tell people if they're right or wrong until they give a new clue. Reiterating the other clues into that post with the new one. Guessing members have to state why their guessed Pokemon relates to the clues, which will naturally take more than a sentence (except first round but it's still constructive). It sounds like ZL is capable of coming up with a decent set of rules and keeping an eye on it, I see no problems arising. 	That was the worst example you could have picked to justify yourself. Not only was that clearly poorly run but furthermore, it was in Diamond. There have been other really good ones you didn't look at clearly. I can see ZL's being much better and more constructive than that, he's already doing something new. 	When someone spends time with a community and builds up their respect, it doesn't matter if they're a Moderator or not. It's a little thing called referent power, a very common trait of a business environment. I've had fantastic respect in threads I've run in the past, it's a just a matter of being able to cooperate and have fun with the community. If done right, as I think it will, I doubt you'll even have to think about it again except closing it at the end of each threads run. Again, you pick very poor examples to justify yourself! One is brand new and the other not far behind, both made in forums without Moderators therefore lacking proper structure and by members that perhaps don't have the ability for such things. Try picking a proper one to show me, then I'll take your point more seriously. 	I'm not sure if I can see the change or not lol, which means it's too similar. Or perhaps it's because it's just links at the moment? I've been hoping to see the boxes and all that modified. I'm also a bit iffy on that The Johto Region game. As mentioned, the concept of Big Brother is used in Loungin', where it's quite suitable. How applicable it is to here, well personally I don't think very. It's such a social activity that it belongs as a once in a blue moon thing in a social place like Loungin', it's not constructive in a Pokemon forum environment. Well, that's my opinion anyway. 	The whole voting/eviction thing is a social concept. Even if you stuffed some trivia in there to make it Pokemon applicable, on a personal level I still don't agree. I'm not complaining for it to be closed or anything, just giving feedback. By not participating I don't mind either way. Sadly I have no means to use to play around with coding but what I had in mind was something like this. Furthermore, I think it'd be great if this forum could follow what I started in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness where there was themes for times of the year. I loved the Christmas one a lot, I had others in mind but never got to use them. I think I still have the Christmas code saved somewhere, if you'd like it in a PM some time for sampling. DA Edit: Much better Lindsey. It'd be cool to get the top done too with floating like in PMD:EoD, you could ask Avalith or Klope to get the code for you? Just so it's a bit more uniform and having the two bars up the top float is cool if you ask me. Not quite the scheme I imagined but it's okay. I do however stress the point that a person can't keep relying on things which happened well over a year ago now. Can't treat two forums as the same, two different communities of people as the same etc. If it was put into the header in bold, just underneath the header in a nice stand out way, I highly doubt most members will miss it. 	I'm speaking more from the fact it's just a waste of time for everyone involved, not that it is bad to answer a question at all as I always do so in a most thorough manner as I can manage. Questions about the game and release dates are two different things. Furthermore, I never stated the threads need to be "forbidden", I seem to have words being put in my mouth by other people here. My point is I'm making a suggestion to help the forum run more smoothly. I'm just a bit frustrated that my ideas to help this forum get bumped off and instead nothing done, not productive. I mean I see nothing being done to try and help these people that ask about the release dates other than answering the thread each time it pops up. Why not implement my idea if nothing is being done with the header at the moment? Isn't going to kill anyone. And I never did Mish, I moderated after release so I never had to put the dates up. Unless you're talking about some other example I made. 	Well I organised a Header/Footer contest ages ago since I've been trying to do a load of things in here. Each of my posts of suggestions has included at least 4 in each, so I've done way more than just three suggestions. There'd be no point running another, as I literally just held the last. Unless you mean the style underneath with the links and stuff. I don't exaggerate or exacerbate or any of the long "ex" words. If my ideas are going to be shot down such as the putting a few release dates in the header, when there's nothing in there anyway and it could benefit some people, then this place is going to the dogs and I don't care about saying that to be honest. DA Edit: Look sorry if I seem to be coming off as rude. I have home and school to tend to at the moment, not to mention my own depression problems. As far as I can see though I'm making suggestions and can't see any reason not to try them out at the very least. It's progression, instead of being stagnant. That Header Contest was only done a short amount of time ago, doing another one so soon is offensive to not only the person who ran it but the people who participated. They didn't participate in the hope their work would get a few months up. 	Like specific themes? I think I mentioned somewhere trying out the theme drop down bar like they have in Loungin' for example, and making themes based around the voted upon Pokemon. There could always be a basic template made up, so people can try sending in their own colour schemes for it or something and then trying to learn things to spice it up. 	It'd give ZL his second Header/Footer contest and I wouldn't mind. Since we'd vote on Pokemon/pictures, he'd make them, and then the forum can be themed around them. 	They would be the same... the current colours would be the base template. By giving people the choice of alternatives though, gives way to personalisation of the forum and people love that sort of thing. You can guarantee there will be trading and battle forums, and no clan forums. 	Battle and Trade sub-forums don't really need to be made until just before the game's release in English. As for a thread just for rating teams, I would be fine with that. Don't know if it's really in huge demand yet but it won't hurt anyone. As for redirecting traffic, I'm not interested. 	I had a good long thought on that back in the days of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. The issue was that the community just wasn't big enough. It's clear that Soul Silver has more members and is going to continue to gain more. We also certainly have a tight-knit concept developing, I wouldn't say in a way that would currently satisfy. There's those who use the GD who have generally been around other forums and this site for a while. On the other hand, there's those who pop in just for the contests and a fair few who just come in for the basic questions threads. So at the current time, my view is that the voting process could be distorted by a lack of knowing other people or perhaps some people even being bias. I'm sure none of us would want to see the same name coming up several times. Again like other things, I feel it can wait. 	Clans just aren't worth debating over. I think Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the only clans forum to ever work properly? Personally I think that's an achievement and a half, considering what happened in other places like the Pokemon forums. More than one Moderator is actually a decent concept if you consider it. It brings more ideas to the table, more coverage and a generally better course of action. Again, that's a factor in why SSBB didn't totally fail. It's been said by many people that clans should not come back, people are more interested in stuff like Social Forums these days anyway. Even I said no to clans because I'm too worried about seeing what might happen. Having said that, I say just chill for now. We'll likely get a new Moderator at some point who may want them and might not. For now though, there's no huge demand with the majority of people saying no, so it's just an idea to lay to one side. 	It can sometimes be an incognito question, where the thread creator's intentions are to find out which is best for their team, making it an indirect team rating thread. Though if the rules of this forum were expanded to more specifics, such as this, then yeah they could all be made to have [RMT] in their thread title for example to signify their intentions and stop questions which are more pointless. As for clans, spam is an understatement. Each person joined several clans, usually owning at least one themselves, all with different names. I bring up this last bit because it's amusing they mostly had Pokemon-inspired names, yet they couldn't post on topic to save their lives. The clans forums became a breeding ground for people who's first post of the day is "hi guys" which is just disgusting. The Pokemon Clans never fulfilled the initial intentions of giving a smaller, more private version of a GD for friends to come together and discuss their favourite game without disturbances and run fun little events among themselves and others. ♥ ------------------- MH3U < Wii U Community > Trine 2 GameGrep - Video Game News

	I'm pretty sure it was me that suggested the dates in the header. Simply because some people would actually notice it when they visit the forum, even if others wouldn't because their intentions are to quickly create a thread to ask. There is an alternative suggestion that might get more positive feedback. I'm sure most, if not all of you, have noticed the "note" section above your posting box when you go to post or make a new thread. That can be edited to have a specific message placed underneath. We could have it edited so that it links to places with the dates or even states the dates right there, making it attractive to the eyes by bright colours and large text. 	I don't mind that aqua colour. I hope "worst comment" isn't trying to be patronizing, I've made a lot of suggestions for this site and many have been seen through. I don't suggest things unless they're worth suggesting. I wouldn't mind a combination of both header and post box note. If both were done, I feel pretty confident it'd stop the majority of threads being made to ask when the game is coming out.
