	Wiki Pages Evolutions Log in to remove this advertisement I am probably going to do this for this game, so I was just wondering if anybody did this. Do you stop your pokemon so that it can't evolve or do you always let it evolve? I am thinking about doing this for my starter pokemon (probably Cyndaquil, but I could easily change my mind), so I was just curious. I haven't stopped an evolution since the first Pokemon games. ^-^

	I've never done this before. I mean why wouldn't you evolve it, unless you're trying to get a move that it can't learn in later evolution stages? It's only a group of pixels attacking another group of pixels. ;-; ------------------- Everything I want I have. Money, Notoriety, and Rivieras. I even think I found God, in the flash bulbs of the pretty cameras.

	I'd only do this if theres a move within maybe 5 levels, or a move that higher levels dont have. I think that the stat rise > moves.

	Yeah it will all really depend on what moves I want my pokemon to have. I have done it before to make my pokemon learn quick attack and stronger fire moves faster. I really haven't done it at all recently though. I love to see the little cutscene as a pokemon evolves. ^-^

	Like the above responses I usually stop them from evolving for them to learn a certain move that the Pokemon can only know at that stage or if it learns it earlier than the next stage. Also I remember that I tried leveling up my Eevee to a certain level(can't remember what) and it kept trying evolve to an Espeon while I wanted an Umbreon lol. ------------------- »Pégate para acá y siente el impacto

	The only times I can remember doing this were when I needed Spore on my Breloom and stopping Eevees from evolving into Espeon/Umbreon.

	I don't stop my Pokemon from evolving, unless I prefer the unevolved version of the Pokemon more than the evolved ^^. Pokemon like Chansey I rarely evolve (even though I have a Blissey on Pearl ). I like to evolve most of them though, since they get stronger and since it will be easier to beat battles by doing so .

	I don't usually stop evolutions, I just let them carry on. I never really paid attention to what move a Pokemon could learn and its evolution could not. I do remember stopping my Cyandaquil from evolving so I could get Flame Wheel a few levels earlier. ------------------- When You Go Astray, I'll Be There To Punch You Back!

	All answers in this thread are going to be one of two: 1. I like the pre-evolution more 2. A move I want to get Personally I use both reasons depending on the Pokemon, as would most people. 	In Sapphire I would always stop my Grovyle from evolving into Sceptile for the storyline just because Grovyle looks pretty bad ***
