Oha Suta releases Pichu/Arceus information, aswell as New Gameplay Footage

Oha Suta has been playing in Japan the past few days and has been releasing information. The information from the 3 days can be viewed in a video, thanks to filb.de.

Information includes:
The Notch eared Pichu event has her jumping out from behind the shrine in Ilex Forest, running around you, and joining the party.
When the Notch-eared Pichu joins you it has the moves Helping Hand, Volt Tackle, Swagger, and Pain Split.
In the screen shot showing the old man talking to you in Ilex, he is saying something along the lines of "Oh look at the cute notch earned Pichu! Oh whats this? It joins your team!" Don't quote me exactly.
Shows battle footage of a level 30 Igglybuff and level 30 Marill battling the NEP and the PCP.
Info of the Arceus event..you bring him to the Ruins of Alph and put him in the front of your party so he is following you. This opens up a special place called the "Shinto Ruins", where you supposebly being Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina to life.
Footage of being with Arceus at the Ruins of Alph and in a snowy area. This location is unknown, but believed to be the Shinto Ruins.
It was confirmed by one of the Oha Suta guys that this place is where you decided Palkia, Dialga, or Giratina.
Footage of being in the place with the 3 circles and triangle, as shown in previously released pictures, with a bunch of Unowns surrounding you.
You are able to hear the HG/SS battle music, along with the music of the place Arceus is at which is Mt. Coronet's music.

I don't believe there's a problem with this. This is news that has to do with the Soul Silver game, not only Heart Gold. When these two forums first arrived we had a problem with cross-posting such as someone would post a thread here asking about the team you will use and then proceeded to post exactly the same thing in the other thread. It was difficult to tell the forums apart then. I would think news is fine, however.

A pichu with pain split? Interesting. Could work well with Volt Tackle.

From what you have said, it seems to choose a pokemon to follow you it is simply the first one in your party. I'm not sure if I like that idea, sometimes I'd like to have a different pokemon following me while I train another.

I'm not averse to it either, but I suppose rules are rules.

I had a question though. Is the Arceus event for the movie only or will everybody get the the chance to experience it?

I do believe that you get the Movie Arceus from Wifi at the primeire of something along those lines.

Even if the event were over wi-fi, you'd still need a japanese copy of D/P/P to use it.
I'm sure the event will come to the US though, just like the Regigigas one did.

That's almost as unlikely as them coming to Europe.
Still, at least you know you're not alone, eh?

These updates aren't about graphics.
They're new events for the game. It adds more story and gives more things to do (assuming you have the event pokemon, of course).

^^ I've noticed that many people cross post despite the same rule on both forums. It's pretty common. This needs to be changed. The section moderators should keep a better and closer eye on what goes on in these forums.
