All-In-One Information Thread

A thread created to combine all newly released information of Pokemon Soul Silver into one place.

Box Art
A first look of the box art has been released. The Soul Silver version obviously has Lugia as its game's mascot while Pokemon Heart Gold will have Ho-oh. These pictures aren't perfect but I worked with what I was given and cropped out a picture to show a close enough image.





New Map Look
It seems like the new map will have an updated, more accurate, and better look. Towns have been redesigned and more area has been added. Brand new cities will be introduced and old locations will be enhanced. The new map looks better than the old and is obviously clearer and cooler looking.



Follow the Leader
Information has been leaked that the soon-to-be released game will allow your Pokemon to follow you around as you walk. Many may have already experienced action like this while playing on the original Pokemon Yellow: Pikachu Edition game. The new release was once thought to only work with the trainer's starter Pokemon but has been confirmed to work with every Pokemon.



Pokemon Walker
Many are excited to hear of the brand new feature that will be first introduced/released with the upcoming game. The unit is a pedometer that holds one Pokemon at a time and increases the Pokemon's amount of XP points and the trainer's amount of money, as the Pokemon is walked. The device is quite helpful and saves the trainer's time from strolling around in the grass, training.



Cooler Menu
Many may have already found out about the information discovered of the new drop down/touch screen menu. Instead of the old menu that opens up on the top screen, the new one opens on the bottom one and can be used by touch. The same options are given but the new look is very impressive.



Pre-ordered Figurines
As usual those who pre-order the game get the game's mascot figurines. This time, if you pre-order Pokemon Heart Gold, you'd get a Ho-oh figuring. If you pre-order Pokemon Soul Silver, the Lugia one. If both are ordered at the same time, you'd get Arceus. All look actually quite nice.



Date of Release
The release dates haven't been confirmed in all regions but have been confirmed to be released in Japan by September 12, 2009. In Japan, the game will be available to pre-order by July 4th. Again, release dates in NA, Europe, Australia, and the rest of Asia have not yet been announced.

This is basically all that is known of the game and it's release. This thread and its OP will be updated as more information is released and as we get closer to the game's release date.

Most of the images of the thread have been supplied by the forum with some edited for a better image.

That would be because details would be hard to give due to the fact that limited information has been released. All I was able to do was inform fans of upcoming updates and improvements. I've posted that when more information is released, the OP will be edited containing more detail and information.

All that has been confirmed is September release. Check the official websites. If they confirmed September 11th, it would be there.

I'm not sure if you're joking or asking a serious question but, it's a cropped picture, not a real video.

Do more research. There is still more information I can think of that isn't there. I'm sure it'd be okay to post information and not have pictures for it. Just saying.
