There isnt any best team in any pokemon game, it all depends on what your prefer and how best the team supports one another. A team should include types that consist of fire, water, electric, ground, dark/psychic.
My team includes:

Mamoswine (Ice, Ground) Nature: Adamant
Item: Icicle Plate
Ice Shard, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Hail
Pretty basic stuff, covers many types and packs a punch, doesnt have a very big movepool, but this is most common.

Ampharos (Electric) Nature: Modest
Thunder, Rain Dance, Signal Beam, Powder Gem
Item: Magnet
Not many people keep use ampharos since youve got jolten, electivire to compete with, but he is more defense orienated and i love defense! I use the Rain Dance/Thunder combo rather than say a thunderbolt/screen combo because it negates hail, sets up my Starmie, and well makes Thunder 100% accurate.

Starmie (Water, Psychic) Nature: Modest
Item: Expert Belt
Thunder, Blizzard, Surf, Psychic/Signal Beam/Powder Gem
Well if you use Starmie right, he can be a mighty powerful special sweeper. Thunder/Blizzard get set up from either Ampharos or Mamoswine, and with his speed, with usually K.O. many who oppose him.

Togekiss (Normal, Flying) Nature: Modest
Item: King's Rock
Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Ancient Power/Sliver Wind, Flamethrower
I love this pokemon, great defense, amazing special attack, HUGE movepool, lackluster speed but who cares? The moveset says it all, come at me and you'll wish you hadn't! Covers all sorts of types, serene grace ability while holding king's rock makes him a force.

Arcanine (Fire) Nature: Relaxed
Item: Flame Plate
Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower/Flare Blitz, Crunch, Thunderfang
One of the originals, who doesn't love this guy? Best fire type pokemon, best legendaries, in any game. Moveset covers many types, maybe not the best nature but ill take defense any day.

Meganium (Grass) Nature: Quiet
Item: Miracle Seed
Energy Ball, Earthquake, Aromatherapy/Safeguard, Reflect/Light Screen
Sooo underrated. Yea using him as your starter makes ingame more difficult, but who doesn't like a challenge?? Defense and Sp. Defense are downright amazing, and add screens, and he is a mammoth to take out. Moveset deals with pesky water/ground combos such as swampert/quagsire and fire/rock/electric types. Isn't meant to be used as a sweeper, mainly as a tank.

Not the best team, but if used correctly can be difficult to beat. Please leave any suggestions on moveset, pokemon i should replcace, anything! REGULAR OUT!

You should have a little of everything. Ex team (my team) All lv 100
Electivire: Could learn cross chop earthquake ice punch and thunderbolt
Blaziken: Sky Uppercut Brave Bird Fire Kick Blast Burn
Sceptile: Frenzy Plant, leaf blade, etc etc
Gallade: fighting psychic
Flygon: Dragon Ground
Weaville: Ice Dark

Electric Fire Fighting (2x) Psychic Grass Ice Dragon Ground
Thats a pretty good team. not only can you do comebacks but also have a kickass team

venosaur can learn thunder bolt as TM and is this a good team all pokemon legit
