	For the Silph Co. have Rotom first in your party (so he is following you around) and he will activate it. 	Also, you can only get Rotom by trading from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. He's not found in Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

Wrong sir, if you bring a rotom to the sliph co. building you gain access to the elevator, once you go to the second floor, there will be different items on the floor. Here you can change rotoms form without having to have the event item from platinum. note: you can only use the elevator if rotom is first in your party Pic Woah, that's a new one thanks for that.
