Persian.

im trying to level up my persian and make it have decent moves.

anyone else train a persian to a high level...and what moves did you choose for it to have?

for some reason, im just in love with him...(affectionately nicknamed Skooter.)

I'm no expert battler, but mine is a SpA version w/ Nasty Plot, Toxic, Swift, and Petal Dance. STAB makes swift a decent power never-miss attack (Unless they're a ghost). Nasty Plot will raise it further. Toxic for good old statusing. Petal Dance is an event-only move that is pretty hard to obtain. Most people won't be expecting it, so its good for a surprise and can cripple bulky waters. You could easily replace it with something like water pulse or HP.

Edit- Too bad Pay Day isn't stronger.

i'll definatly keep that in mind.
i dont wanna let it give up payday because its cool its the only pokemon that learns it, but its such a crappy move...

Personally, I found Persian to be a very effective lead, even in OU. This is what I used and experimented a bit on Shoddy with:

Persian@Life Orb
6 HP | 252 Atk | 252 Spe
Technician
Jolly
Fake Out
U-Turn
Taunt
Knock Off

It's a little gimmicky, but it works well as a lead. Fake Out on the first turn for a surprising amount of damage thanks to Technician. U-Turn for scouting and decent damage and allows to quickly switch in a counter. Taunt prevents the foe from setting up Stealth Rock, boosting stats, or inflicting status. Knock Off allows Persian to limit the walling capabilities of many defensive pokemon by knocking off their leftovers, and cutting the power of sweepers that are holding choice items or a life orb.

It's also because it is not a main favorite Pokemon as to Gengar, Dragonite, or Charizard.
