Question about Eevee

I've been looking all over google and I haven't found an exact answer to my question so I thought I'd ask on here.

So here's the situation - I want to EV train an Umbreon. I have an eevee at level 5 untouched. I want the Baton Pass move at level 34 or whatever it is so that means I have to get my eevee to that level before I evolve it to an Umberon.

Now here's the question, if I EV trained the eevee, would those EV points transfer over to the Umberon? So say I EV trained the eevee on defense + special defense. Would these 2 transfer over to the Umbreon? Or will I have to use EV reducing berries to start all over again once it hits Umbreon?

Or maybe I could use rare candies (which i don't think affect EV points) and get it to level 34... but I would need a lot of rare candies...

Also one more question, once a pokemon is fully EVed - Obtained Effort Ribbon, but is still level 30 - Can I just train against any pokemon to get it to level 100 without disrupting the the EV points?

I'm guessing I could also put eevee in the daycare until level 34 to get the baton pass without any effects to the EV and then get umberon and go from there

Actually, you CANNOT breed Eevee in the Daycare using 1 more Eevee, so that will spoil your plans. Sorry I said that, but it's true. Just like the Legendaries, you CANNOT breed Eevee.=-(

Unless you trade 1 of your Pokemon for an Eevee, you (again) CANNOT get more than 1 Eevee.

Uhh since when? Eevee can breed with Ditto and a different gendered Eevee. Or if the Eevee is female it can breed with anything in its egg group.

was going to say, i had an eevee breeding like rabbits when i put it into the daycare with a ditto in Platinum

you may not be able to breed eevees from that baby pokemon rule but im not sure if that applies to eevee and im not about to look it up.
