	Wiki Pages Mt. Silver Log in to remove this sponsored message OK, I have all 16 badges, and I need to beat red to get my beloved venusaur from the good professor. Listed below is my team with their movesets. I would like suggestions on how much I should train and where to do it. I'm thinking about grinding the elite four, but I'd like some opinions. Do you think I should just cop out and catch legendaries to plow through them? Gyarados - Level 53 -Dragon Dance -Avalanche -Earthquake -Waterfall Meganium - Level -Rock climb - I like the confusion side effect more than body slam's paralysis -Petal Dance -Frenzy Plant -Synthesis Typhlosion - Level -Lava plume - I like the burn effect more than extra damage -Shadow claw - I know this is bad, but I can't find a better one -Solarbeam -Sunny Day Ampharos - Level 55 -Discharge -Focus Blast -Light Screen - I plan on replacing this with power gem -Signal Beam Espeon - Level 50 -Psychic -Shadow Ball -Future Sight - what do I replace this with? -Swift - I plan on getting calm mind later Ho-Oh - Level 46 -Sunny Day -Sacred Fire -Fly - no heart scale, I grinded on rocks at cianwood and in victory road for an hour -Extrasensory - I know this is bad because of his low special atk. I'm thinking about replacing Ho-oh with someone like swampert, rhydon, or tyrannitar, but I'm too lazy.

	just so you know, all of his pokemons are like lv 70 and higher. so my suggestion is that you train all of them at least lv 75

	yeah that battle was tough, lucky for me i decided i hated all six of the guys i beat the game with so i just rare candied them all to lvl 90 and went and beat him. the elite four is harder the second time through you will need lvl 60s at least to grind that.

	You're going to get schooled. Red's lowest pokemon is at level 80, with majority of them being above 83-84. I barely pulled it off with my level 81 Tyranitar, and Red couldn't even use his Hail-Blizzard trick because of Tyranitar's Sand Stream. I suggest you train at least 3-4 of your pokemon up to level 85. -------------------

My question is how should I go about training up for him? Also, I think training to level 85 seems a bit excessive, I've seen people do it with 6 level 70's on youtube just by using the type effectiveness to their advantage. Also, how did you get all the rare candies? Did you search through the whole game or are you a cheater? Thanks for telling me that the Elite Four gets stronger the second time. I don't remember that from playing the original games. Should I grind inside Mt. Silver, outside, somewhere totally different? Should I replace Ho-Oh with Steelix or Tyrannitar to take out the Pikachu? Should I go get mewtwo to save myself some training?

	i sent my 6 back to my sisters old game and grabed rare candies. so yeah cheated but in the end using raire candies makes your guys weaker so it was it was there last battle. yeah i grind right outside the pokemon cent er at mt silver.

	here's the team I used to beat him all of which were around level 80-85. Articuno, Meganium, Kingler, Manectric, and Vaporeon. had some HM slave get me there. Used Meganium on Pikachu with the resistance to electricity. Then Manectric pwned everything with T-Bolt and Flamethrower. Life Orb recoil and Hail caused it to get KOed by Venasaur after it used Flamethrower, so Vaporeon beat Charizard and Venasaur with Surf and Ice Beam respectively. ------------------- MixedMence Clan Diabolique Gharials EoE

	Train against gym leaders in rematches until they are level 60-80. Bring a few revives and you're fine. ------------------- I don't even game ftw!

TWO Pokemon: Mewtwo and Ho-Oh...I beat Red with Mewtwo lvl 71 and Ho-Oh lvl 70, Keep Ho-Ohs moves normal and make Mewtwo learn: Rock Slide,Thunder, and Psychic replacing all his normal moves except one(But i forgot which)...Just bring some weak pokemon you can use to revive the Mewtwo and Ho-oh and you will be fine...(I used about 4 revives...) ------------------- PSN = Heartlessmac Xbox Live = Munch Emm The new DmC? Umm no...if you RC to lvl 100 without EV'ing the pokemon...THEN they will be weaker. 	I beat Red with a team of level 56's. Basically I was too lazy for grinding up my poke's so I just bought some Max potions,revives and full heals. I used up like 10 revives and Revival herbs but I beat him in the end
