Best lineup?

I would recomend that until you get far into the game, gyrados, starter, ampharos, dragonite, hitmontop (from the cave near ecruteak evolved from tyrogue), and tyranitar

my best line-up is a simple team

Flareon
Golem
Fearow
Fraligator
Scizor
(a good grass type, i havnt got one yet)

if you use this team you cover most of the types
if you know a good grass type plz tell

Dragonite
Raikou
Ho-Oh

My lineup:
Typhlosion
Pidgeot (Will change to Togekiss)
Electivire
Espeon
Nidoking (Thinking of changing to Tyranitar or Rhyperior or something like that)
Lapras

It's a pretty good lineup, but as you can see, it lacks a grass type, so it's not the BEST.

here is my team and their move set
Kingdra "Dragon/Water" only weak to Dragon : Dragon pulse "Dragon", Surf "Water", Ice Beam "Ice", Signal Beam "Bug".
Gliscore "Ground/Flying" Weak to Water, Ice : Aerial Ace "Flying", Earthquake "Ground", Fire Fang "Fire", Thunder Fang "Electric".
Drapion "Poison/Dark" only weak to ground: Ice Fang "Ice", Poison Jab "Poison", Crunch "Dark", X-Scissor "Bug".
Lucario "Fighting/Steel" weak to Fighting, Ground, and fire: Water Pulse "Water", Aura Sphere "Fighting", Dark Pulse "Dark", Flash Cannon "Steel".
Magmortar "Fire" Weak to Ground, Water, and Rock: Thunderbolt "Electric", Flamethrower "Fire", Solar Beam "Grass", Psychic "Psychic".
Electivire "Electric" Weak to Ground only: Ice Punch "Ice", Thunder Punch "Electric", Brick Break "Fighting", Rock Slide "Rock".

As you see I have 3 special Attackers, "Magmortar, Kingdra, Lucario" and 3 physical Attackers "Electivire, Drapion, Gliscore" the speed on all those is raised to the maximum. same with the attack for the Physicals, and special attack for the specialists. I may change the move set for Lucario just by changing Dark Pulse to Psychic so he can fare in a battle against a fighting type pokemon.
I hope that was helpful. I wiped out all the gyms without any trouble at all, in Johto or in Kanto. and the Elite 4 were like a piece of cake
