EXP Factors?

I am not sure if the hits and opposite types effect the exp. Level does, and the pokemon you are facing does too.
A level 36 Zubat will give less exp than a level 34 Golbat. So the stronger the pokemon, the more exp.

Things like # of hits don't affect it. It all scales to the level, and the evolution of the pokemon.

Lower evolution = less EXP. Baby pokemon give you a pittance, whereas the 3rd generation of a pokemon line would give you a lot more than the 1st. Of course, battle capabilities go up with successive generations, so that makes sense.

Generally, the weaker the pokemon (as in, battle capabilities), the less EXP you get. Take Magicarp. You get like practically no EXP for beating those, because their battle capabilities stop at 0 damage, at first. They eventually learn tackle I think, but not until like, level 15 or something >_> I don't think rarity (of a pokemon) would affect things too much.

Battling trainers (re: trained) pokemon yields more EXP versus battles with free range (re: Wild) pokemon. Not sure if Gym Leaders would give more EXP than regular trainers though.

It's been the same since generation 1, so far as I can tell.

I've noticed something, though. Ever noticed how Blissey and Chansey's give an outrageous amount of EXP? Maybe one factor is not just the level, but also the HP of the Pokemon.

Why does it need to be wild? Yes, there is a bonus for Trainers, but doesn't that affect all of their Pokemon? Blissey almost always gives an outrageous amounts of EXP than other Pokemon regardless if it's wild or not.

What? Trainers have Blisseys. I'm not talking about this game directly, but the series from Gen 2 and on.

I think he wants to know WHERE as in, in-game places, so that he can battle them.

Maybe Chansey's will, too? Because I read that you can get wild Chansey's on route 13/14 maybe? Unless I read it wrong. But I doubt their levels would be that high and they wouldn't give as much as a Blissey.
