Pokewalker?

how do you earn w's for this thing. I'm walking around but all it says under my pokemon is "7" and it keeps going to sleep

Once you have enough watts, use them to catch pokemon or find items. once you fill it up or don't want the pokemon in it anymore, go to the pokewalker menu and empty it out into your main game. it's as easy as that.

If anybody finds the pokewalker confusing or hard to figure out... Try figuring it out when everything is in Japanese and you can't read Japanese, like me when I got Soul Silver on the Japan release date haha..

Let the walker go to sleep. It doesn't count steps when the screen is active.

What i'd like to know is, what if you try to connect another person's pokewalker to your game?

Returning from a stroll is sending your Pokemon back to your game, and I'm pretty sure the "Receive a Gift" option allows you to receive gifts from other Pokewalker devices.

It sends you watts and items back without bringing the Pokémon back.

According to Serebii you can connect to other pokewalkers to send up to ten items and your current party (for the trainer house in viridian city). You can only connect to the other pokewalker once a day though.
