Those aren't the stats either. The nature on this Arceus can change with soft resets. Is that PC Box trick still working on the DS? | |

I'd rather get it at level 50 or so. =/
Also get rid of the exclusive moves for, ionno, useful attacks. Reenee: The PC trick worked in Diamond and Pearl, not so much in Platinum. I'd fetch to say that it won't work in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, meaning Arceus can really be knocked off as a trophy (if you're into the whole collecting bit). | |

If you mean the PC EV trick, Reenee, then no.

That's not entirely true. It's possible to EV train a level 100 Pokemon in Diamond/Pearl, and apply the values using the same method.

I'm afraid that's a common misconception, but it is regretably impossible to EV train a lv.100 pokemon in gen 3 & 4 games, for one simple reason: a LV.100 pokemon will not take any more EVs, you can battle all you like, it just won't take them.

Correct, although Pokemon obtained at level 100 with NO prior battle experience (in other words, event Pokemon such as the level 100 Regigigas, or even Pokemon raised solely on Rare Candies) can take advantage of the little blip in Diamond/Pearl.
 I'm not saying that's the case with this Arceus, but rather that it is possible to apply EVs to a level 100 Pokemon -provided it has absolutely zero battle experience. | |

I don't see the logic in that, Superslack. A pokemon can not gain anything from ev's as it is. Once it hits Level 100, the stats do not go up anymore. Tested with a Rare Candied pokemon in Platinum. The stats did not change after Level 100, which makes the point of ev'ing completely pointless since the Pokemon cannot gain anything from it.

It's a glitch (I suppose that's what you'd call it) in Diamond and Pearl. I said it didn't work in Platinum.
Normally, and this holds true for every game other than Gold, Silver, Diamond, and Pearl I think, in order to gain EVs you have to gain experience. There's a trick though, a level 100 Pokemon that has never received any values from battles (like the Regigigas in the example up top) can earn EVs through conventional battles even though it's level 100. Once the desired amount of EVs have been earned you would simply drop the Pokemon into a PC box and take it back out. You can see the difference in stats, depending on the values received, once you take the Pokemon back out of the box. | |
