I think it just says what each ball does, so;

knowing gamefreak, they'd ruin the whole aspect

in rby, there were only 3 pokeballs (not including the super-uber master ball )

the point of the apricorn balls was that if you want new pokeballs, you had to work for them
if GF were to put new balls in, they'd have to put new apricorns in,
and if they put new apricorns in, they'd have to put new places to put the new apricorns
thus making apricorns in general easier to find
