	Log in to remove this advertisement What the hell do you mean he's not a fighter? He...fights demons and stuff all the time, does that not classify him as a fighter? Sure he's in an action/adventure game, but he's fighting nonetheless. It's like in TvC, they made plenty of "non-fighters" fit for the fighting genre. If anyone can do this, it's Capcom. Dante would certainly be a good edition. Hell same with Frank West, who does some crazy shit in TvC. You don't have to act so rash about it, Final. I'm sure we can all take guesses on Dante's supers if need be. For example, Devil Trigger can be used as a time limit super. 	I'm old school, fighting should be more fists and feet. Considering the joke characters they end up putting in there like Megaman or servbot not in the least surprised they put other ppl there. 	Wow. You're not too bright dude. Explain how Dante doesn't fit in a game that consisted of such characters like Hayato Kanzaki, Strider Hiryu and Silver Samurai all of which use swords? Least not forget Gambit and Sonson both who use a staff to fight with. Not to mention, a game series consisting of Hadouken users and various other amounts of weaponry from laser beams to a barrage of missile attacks. Yet according to you, Dante doesn't fit that mold whatsoever and is a disgraceful addition to this game because you believe he isn't a fighter despite the fact he uses a sword, a gun and is from a popular hack/slash series..... Seriously, can you be anymore thick? There's no such thing as being "old school" in fighting games. There's Tekken and then there's everything else which is typically projectile based fighting. You sound more like a Tekken fanboy than someone who would enjoy the Marvel vs Capcom series given their vast array of fighting styles. -------------------

	If you're this much against Dante being in it, and is apparently annoyed with characters like Megaman being involved in the series, how about not getting the game? That'd be a great challenge, to see if you'd get it or not. I don't get it, what series and characters have Capcom messed up on? The ONLY one that comes to mind is RE, with RE5, but even that wasn't too bad, it just lacked the old survival horror style that the previous games were known for. The majority of Capcom's shit gets praise. For the MvC series...some could argue it being a broken series with the mass amount of different characters, the styles, and overall gameplay, but it's a crossover series, what do you expect to happen? Weapons-based fighting? Really? TLA already explained that, but I'll like to add on: There's been characters in SF series with weapons, or at least who use weapons often. Cody comes to mind, Rolento as well. Hell C. Viper's powers are generated from her suit, specifically her gloves and boots. And wait, hold the phone, does Vega not use a claw? Does Birdie not use a chain? Does Maki not use tonfas? Does Sodom not use sais? It's not like the "classic fighter" was immune to this. Even Tekken has become a little more weapon-styled, with the latest Tekken 6 including usable items such as frying pans and staffs. 	Storm, I will buy it but that's not really the discussion. I just would rather them NOT add Dante in and put someone else in and I'm sure given enough thought I could come up with some names. Nero could be in it more so than Dante, cause I actually don't give a shit about nero. As for other series Capcom bleeped up: Hello, DEVIL MAY CRY!!! DMC1 by many is still the greatest game in the series cause it combined steller action with horror. Every place you go to you had that eerie feel that something was going to happen. Then you had Dante with his awesome lines to every single boss and enemy. DMC2 turned out to be a utter failure, DMC3 turned far too much into a reboot moving away of the horror(ohshit I see a pattern) of DMC1 and more about Action. That's not to say it was bad thing, I loved DMC3 action but it was still disappointing to what DMC1 was. Dante also felt in DMC3 to be trying too hard to be funny. Others have explained it better on this thread. DMC4 was fun but still a disgrace imo. Not as bad as DMC2 but it felt like Capcom no longer could come up with any new cooler ideas. And instead they put Nero in and made the game about him and not dante. Should have had his own spinoff really. And because of Capcom lack of ideas, rumors has it DMC5 is in the works by none other than Heavenly Sword Developers and not Capcom. Which tells me that they had to use someone else for fresh ideas. I'm sure I could come up with more reasons why I think DMC is slowly going down hill by capcom but i'll see what Ninja Theory can do with DMC5. As for Megaman and all them, I do know why they were in there but I could see them fitting cause of the combos I've experienced on the PS2 version. It worked extremely well. Dante I can't see it working unless they remove many moves and add in other moves. Oh and why is Dante from DMC3 being in there? 	Amusing how in such a lengthy post you still manage to completely avoid the issue and points both Storm and myself brought up. Your personal feelings on a series still is not a logical explanation why the character himself wouldn't make a good fighter. If that were the case, why aren't you campaigning against Chris Redfield being confirmed to appear in the game (but to me it makes sense since MvC2 had Jill Valentine). And had it not been for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I myself would be going "wtf" over the appearance of Frank West in this game. -------------------

	Indeed, Frank became my favorite character in TvC, and that's saying something. He's way out there in terms of the "fighting" terminology, unorthodox. But again, Capcom makes it work. They are damn good at what they do. DMC1 had horror? What in the holy hell are you talking about? Eerie and horror are two different things. One can cause the other but eerie is about the environment and your feelings towards it, not heavily based on being afraid and spooked like with say...the early RE and SH games. 	Actually, Dante would win. Wolverine isn't nearly as unstoppable as that crazy half-demon trickster. Wolverine can still get KO'ed, after all. It would be a gruesome battle, that's for sure, but I mean Dante has way too many abilities and equipment at his disposal...and if he gets serious, well good luck Wolverine.
