Unhandle Exception on London Racer using XP

Any body know how to get around the problem of London Racer not running on XP. It bring up Fout Exception just before the race. If u have the answer please e-mail cheers

HELP US lol just got the game from a shop to day
i was so dissapointed that it would not run on xp
any one who can tell me how to fix it ill buy them a pint

The one I just bought worked, although I had the same problem with the demo file I found out over the web. I would be happy to help figure out why theirs don't work (differences in files etc...). Incidentally, mine does say XP compatible on the packaging.

Though I don't really think it's that good a game. The car dynamics and graphics aren't up to much. I like games with Minis and for my money The Italian Job by SCI and Rally Trophy by JoWood are much better!

I had the same problem even with the Windows XP patch. I solved it by opening the London Racing Settings application, and selecting System Memory rather than Video Memory in the Render Target section. I then selection 640x480 in the in-game settings and it worked as well as the game will ever work: i.e. not all that great.

Still it's a laugh to see a signpost to Devizes which is just down the road from me, just a shame I can't get it to work at 3D accelerated higher resolutions.
