How to get the fabled anti-materiel rifle - Page 2

You may just not be at a high enough level for the Anti-Materiel Rifle to spawn.

I'm lvl 22, I'm a member of the BoS and it's not there, I've been to Mick and Ralphs and it's not there. =[

perhaps you are not far enough in the main quest? have the Rangers showed up in camps yet?

Yah, just progress more in the main quest. Maybe it only shows up after u reach a certain point in the game. And what lvl are u in the game?

I'm 100% sure. Yes, I'm a Paladin, I've done the Black Mountain quest and I've got power armor training. I just completed the main quest, when I made this thread I must have been literally on the second last quest.

I've just done the last quest and didn't find any - I thought people were supposed to use them during the fight at hoover dam?

Sounds to me like you've come accross a very nasty glitch here. It depends on who you side with. In my first playthrough i sided with Yes man and most of te legion guys had Anti-Material Rifles. Then in my second and third playthroughs i sided with the legion and the NCR respectivly. There were no Anti-Material Rifles in my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs, they all had Marksman Carbine's.

I could suggest you either look up known glitchs on the Anti-Material Rifle via the Wiki here or you go to either Camp Golf or one of the 5 ranger stations and kill the veterans. If you kill all the veterans at all 5 ranger stations and you still don't have it then i'm afraid it's definetly gltiched.

U can always wait near a bathroom so u can just drink from the toilet to prevent dehydration. Waiting 24 hours wont kill u, it will just increase the H2O bar pretty high.

If u don't like the NRC then u get them to like u a little then u get them to hate u... after a while some rangers will come to u and tell u that u have 3 days to improve ur NRC rank,don't t do this and when u are on the 3rd fay u get some good equipment and just go out into the waste and wait some time and 4 rangers will come to u 1 of the Veteran's will carry a Anti-Material Rifle. When u get to higher level u can by it from the gun runners!
