The Legendary Deathclaw (Spoilers) - Page 2

OK so i saw the forum post on here about the legendary deathclaw and so i decided to go see if he was actually as tough as everyone says so i went to each and every place that i can recall sells stimpacks and doctors bags and i bought them all and i went to fight the legendary deathclaw.
OK so then i walked into the cave and started making noise cause i like a challenge i didn't want to sneak and i used my sniper rifle (the one in the snipers nest) to kill all of the deathclaws and then i made it to the mother deathclaw and used my Tesla cannon (its a prototype gun idk what the exact name is) and i killed her.
next i headed into the last chamber and i pulled out my alien blaster and one shotted both deathclaws guarding the legendary Deathclaw and while he was turning towards me i ran up next to him and one shotted him in the face with my alien blaster

OK so i play on very hard mode with hardcore mode on top of it and i expected this to be an insane fight and i was highly disappointed with the easiness of my ordeal.

Did anyone else do anything similar?

about the alien blaster that i got from the farmstead that appears to be a building or something and turns into the UFO with the 3 aliens: is there anywhere else in the game to get some more ammo for this gun? prolly not huh?

see thats what i was thinking cause i had a bitch of a time getting to the legendary deathclaw then i one shotted him and i was confused

I used the wildwasteland trait so I was able to get the Alien Blaster and the Holy Hand Grenades( which are as powerful as mini nukes). So I got close to the back room with the Legendary Deathclaw and threw in two Holy Hand Grenades which instantly killed the two normal Deathclaws and put his health down to about quarter. After that it only took one shot from the Alian Blaster to down him for good. (I was on regular difficulty btw).

Person 1: I killed the legendary deathclaw on very hard!!!
Person 2: Awsome!!
Person 1: I used the alien blaster
Person 2:...not so awsome then...

My point is that the Alien Blaster is overpowered, any muppet can kill it with the alien blaster. Try something else.

Honestly, the Alien Blaster is pretty overpowered. It has a Crit Multiplier of 100. In other words, even if you purposely nuke your Crit chance (Luck 1, no Finesse, no Better Criticals, no Light Touch, no 1st Recon Beret, no True Police Stories, no Built to Destroy), you're still guaranteed a Crit on every shot. Now, most people do take Better Criticals, which means that the Alien Blaster will do a whopping 150 damage with each hit. No weapon in the game can boast that kind of damage on every shot.

Thank you so much! The only thing that keeps me from doing the boring annoying quests is killing challenging stuff! Thank you, now I have something to look forward to .

Or grow a set and go up to him with fists, no armor, five stimpaks, no other chems or food, and on very hard.
