	you choose who to attack, how you Attack, weather your guy jumps or stays on the ground.. what combos to use, when to use them.. It's turn-based but the system is so fulfilling that you will find yourself, like me, hoping someone attacks you. Seeing your characters overcome a difficult enemy via tri attack is very rewarding.. not only does it make you feel badass ass but when you master it you'll find yourself doing it on even weak enemies just for the hell of it. My advice, try it. If you're an RPG fan then this is one game you would regret missing. -------------------

	i will say though, that the learning curve is pretty high for the battle system... the tutorial gives you way too much to try and digest all at once.. you can get by the first chapter no prob without much trouble even if you don't know a lot about what you are doing, but by the time you get to the first REAL Boss, it will beat you down until you become a pro at the battle system... i died like 6 or 7 times before i figured out how to fully utilize the Hero Gauge (how it depletes and replenishes, etc)and to take advantage of different weapons/attacks and guard breaks... my favorite move so far is the smackdown...where you run at the enemy do a slide attack to knock them into the air, then jump/attack to slam them into the ground... bonus shots are extremely satisfying as you empty clip after clip into a flying target... and not to mention the tri-attacks are fun to pull off as well... ------------------- quote Aeirou Omens has an expiration label as soon as he enters a level.. which he voluntarily fulfills
